Sometimes in an english show they will speak spanish, and in the spanish dub they change the language/origin to keep the Different Language Bit. So for example, Carla from Scrubs is originally dominican, but in the spanish dub she is brasilian.
Other times they just. Keep Talking in Spanish. So in Community, they go to spanish class. In the spanish dub, they are still going to spanish class. So it's like they are doing the most basic grammar in their original language and it is very ridiculous. In Dexter, they had many scenes of someone talking in spanish, and then Dexter translated it in english. In the spanish dub, someone talks in spanish, and then Dexter repeats exactly the same in spanish. It was Art.

Y'know Sidestep and Ortega's first kiss was probably pretty gross. Sidestep sweating under their mask throughout the Psychopathor fight, Ortega helmetless but still probably sweaty plus whatever dirt and debris clung to them from the fight and digging Step out from where their leg was pinned. Maybe even a bit of blood.
But Ortega is so relieved to see them alive and mostly intact and probably having that rubber band snap realization of oh I really like them and while a part of them definitely considered taking the whole mask off and dipping them into a Hollywood movie style kiss, they reign themselves in, roll up the mask just a little, strangely allowed, just enough to press a kiss them.
Sweat, dirt and all.

my mentality is that Ortega only managed to hold it together for the apartment scene bc they were running on a combination of their jump first thonk later instincts + straight adrenaline from the whiplash that was dinner and the love confession + probably some of their old bad habits/mindsets about how they approach sex + sheer stubborn will that they didnt sob over getting sidestep in their bed but I know for a Fact that when they get a second time they are going to sniffle and cry pitifully and ruin the mood and make it so awkward🙂↕️🙂↕️
If Sidestep didn't have the nanovores neutered we could've done this at the gala
Also didn't expect people on tumblr to like my Step's mask as much as they do. I actually chose terrifying as my suit style because I wanted the infamy but I couldn't find a way to make it work. I ended up just giving up and simplifying it so I was surprised when people liked it. Just goes to show you that sometimes simple is better both for the viewers and for your sanity as the artist.
