She's gotta be done soon! school starts again next week and I have other projects that NEED to be finished by the 19th that I haven't started yet! OMG So Behind!.
today's been crapy.

first off I got the s-hook stuck in Kennah's arm and had to break her arm apart to get it out again, and then screwed up the measurements on the other project mentioned before.

after about 30 minutes of pulling my hair out and eating a jumbo bag of chips I finished re-stringing her so I could take these pictures for all you lovely people on the joint. ( Collapse )

okay so I'm having some trouble with my girl Kennah. There's something about her I'm just not catching.

My ultimate question is what are you looking for when you go to buy a doll, and how she meets or doesn't meet those bars.

Second question, how would you go about changing something. I'm running out of ideas on how to improve her

she was very loosely strung for these. but she still stood.










If there's any specific pose or angle you'd like me to take pictures of please tell me

right now for me her torso and face meet my goals perfectly, but her arms, legs, feet and hands do not. She's pretty good at holding a pose even if strung loosely but they just don't look natural.

I'm having great difficulty standing her so I'm reworking her feet.
I'll post more pictures later.

Here's some pictures of the new legs and changes to the body. sorry that the pictures aren't the greatest. it was the closest place i could stand her.
she's strung very loose so she didn't stand to well, she took a tumble when i was trying to take a picture and broke a finger. I'm so glad that's all that happened. I think one of her legs is longer then the other.

We brought him home and he had his first photoshoot yesterday.

Modded him a bit more (softened lips+nose) and go some really really fine brushes to use

Okay maybe not on the schedule I was planning... but i did start!





I got smooth-on's PMC-121 30 urethane rubber and Smooth-cast... i forget the number...
I am kinda worried about the bubbles in there but last time they didn't affect the casting surface at all.
I'm extremely worried that i don't have enough rubber...

the knee joints are a bit better. I took the dremal to them so they bend to about 60 degrees now. i still think they don't look as good as they could. I'm really really hopeful right now. I'm hoping i can mold and cast her this weekend.

And I finally made her hands. they look to small to me though i'm a bit worried. I made new feet too, they work like the delf feet I like them.
they still need sanding.

So I think my faceup's are kinda getting decent. They still need improvement but I want to try on a different model...
