ETA: All future posts in the Lightning Round are screened as of the morning of Monday, January 25 (a certain mod's internet connection went out last night, meh). You can still reply to Offerors and Bidders whose posts are already up on the comm, and they will get notifications, but will not be able to reply here. Therefore, please take all conversations going forward into PMs or email.

We will be hosting another Lightning Round here at help_haiti from Thursday, January 28th through Saturday, January 30th at 3:59pm, PST, in tandem with LJ's V-Gift-a-Thon, when they will be donating 100 percent of the proceeds from all vgift sales to CARE and UNICEF (LJ will even cover the credit card processing fees). It's also a good way to send paid time to friends, because for each $10 you receive in vgifts during the V-Gift-a-Thon, if you have any account type other than Permanent, you'll get two months of paid account time. We request (but cannot mandate) that all donations made during the second Lightning Round be done in the form of V-Gifts.

A few people have noted that they will be out of town or busy after the auction closes, but will have time to get creative this weekend.

This post is for them to offer creativity, in a sort of "Buy It Now" kind of way.

If you want to create drabbles or drawbles for the first X number of people who donate Y dollars (or the equivalent of your choice) to one of the entities listed here, this is the place to offer your creativity!

Note: Since I will be traveling over the weekend, it's going to have to be up to the person making the offer to decide how he or she wants to confirm that the "donation minimum" has been, er, donated. You can ask people to forward you a screencap with their address and portions of their name (such as everything but the first letter of their first and last name) blocked out, or forward a redacted version of their donation-confirming email, or a photo of the confirming text message - whatever works for you.

Please only offer if you'll be able to finish and deliver your works on or before January 22; otherwise, the standard auctions should be ok for you.
