Hello everybody!
My bf hbi2k and I went to Saboten Con this past weekend as Alucard (straight-jacket/bondage version) and Integra (OVA version). Unfortunately, there was only one other Hellsing cosplayer there! Usually we see at least one Seras and sometimes more Hellsing characters walking around, but this time it was just us and one other Alucard.

Uhm . . . I'm going. As Integra. And I discovered that Army dress greens make a good Integra cosplay outfit, even if the following pics aren't that good:

Not exactly the most flattering pictures of me, but hey, what can you do? It was completely spur-of-the-moment. I remembered my uniform and went "Squeeeee!"

And I don't have the right glasses.

I'll try to find my contacts, otherwise Integra will just have to be sporting a new look.

Anyway, let me know if you're going. I'd offer to share a room at the hotel, but I live in Sac, so I'm not paying for the room. ^^;

Hideyuki Kurata, screenwriter of the Hellsing OVA series
Thorsten Münchow, German voice actor for Alucard
Koh Kawarajima, manga artist and illustrator
Haruka Fukushima, creator of the Otona ni NUTS manga series

The ninth annual AnimagiC convention will be held in Bonn, Germany, from July 27-29.

Looks like good news for you guys over in Seattle. This morning animenation said that Hirano will be at Sakura-con. Now, being nowhere near Seattle, I have no idea when this con is. Here's what they said:

"Sakura-Con Announces Four New Guests
Seattle, Washington based Sakura-Con has announced four new guests who will attend this year's convention: Hideyuki Kurata, Kouta Hirano, Yashuhiro Nightow and K.T. Gray.
Hideyuki Kurata is the creator of R.O.D. and screenwriter for anime including GUNxSWORD and the Hellsing OVA series.
Kouta Hirano is the creator of Hellsing.
Yasuhiro Nightow is the creator of Trigun and Gungrave.
K.T. Gray is the English dub voice for character Seras Victoria in the Hellsing anime."

I got my sketch framed and it came in today so I just had to share with everyone it's utter sexyness.

Seeing/Meeting Hirano-sensei completely made my con experience so much better than it was starting out to be. Best Otakon Ever.

Here are the photos my group got at Otakon. ^^ I was Pip, my roommate blood Ceras, and her sister our military Integra. I was disappointed to see so few Pips (only three including myself!), but very impressed that we had so many minor characters cosplayed.

Excellent job, everyone!

If anyone else got some good shots of our group I'd appreciate them. ^_^
