I would like to start using this group again for Hellenion, and was wondering how many of the current members are also members of Hellenion?

Hello everyone! I'm your newest member (I hope). I must admit upfront that although I am polytheist, I follow the Roman traditions, not the Greek. Nonetheless, the Romans borrowed much of their, and now my, religion, rites, customs, et cetra from the Greeks. As such, you will forgive me as I prefer the Roman names.

Anyway, I have joined and am writing this as I am interested in connecting with other polytheists who share similar beliefs as I. So no Wiccans please :P

Is there anyone in California that is going to build a Hellenoin groups (proto or otherwise) here in California?

I've just posted a poll to my journel and I would really, really appreciate it if people answered it.  It may seem that I'm joking but the existence and purpose of humankind has long been a subject I've dwelt on, indeed some people might even call it an obsession.  I do value the opinions and insights of those on my FL and so would really like to see your opinions.  You may also comment as you will as well.

So I'm doing this monthly honor bit for the 12 major gods... and I was sort of struck with a bit of a dilemma.

If you were making a personal sacrifice, what would you give to

-Hermes
-Hades & Persephone

   I’m in an unfortunate work situation right now and I was wondering if anybody had a ritual or sacrifice that they find effective for resolving this kind of thing. I’m in the habit of sacrificing a large coin by the roadside from time to time as an informal gesture of appreciation to Hermes, but generally I’m not a daily ritual kind of guy. What would you recommend for finding favour in seeking a better job or improving things in an existing job?

I always thought Io was pronounced eee-oh but I recently saw somewhere online where someone noted that it's pronounced yo.

Which is it?

Feel free to drop any sites with pronunciation guides, I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs a little direction.  :o)
