Ice-T to produce Hasselhoff rap album

Ice-T is to produce David Hasselhoff's first hip-hop album.

The pair are neighbours in Los Angeles and are said to have struck up a close friendship.

Hasselhoff has had some success as a singer, releasing seven albums. He's also said to be very popular in Germany.

Ice-T, who was one of the first real hip-hop stars in the late 1980s, said: "The man is a legend. And we are going to show a whole new side of him."

The rapper is said to be convinced that the 51-year-old for Knight Rider and Baywatch actor can take on the biggest names in rap, reports The Sun.

Ice-T added: "He's gonna come out as Hassle The Hoff - I promise you. The Hoff will surprise people with his rap skills and humour."

John Peel is to be remembered with a compilation CD featuring 40 of his
favourite acts as the first anniversary of the broadcaster's death approaches.
Included on the album will be Sheela-Na-Gig.

Artists on the double album will range from Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie to The
Smiths and Blur.

It will be released on 17 October, four days after BBC Radio 1's John Peel Day,
when more than 300 gigs around the world will be dedicated to the late DJ.

Tracks on the CD will span Peel's whole career, starting with Lonnie Donegan,
Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pink Floyd and The Doors. The Ramones, The Clash, Joy
Division, New Order and The Undertones will represent the punk and post-punk
eras.

A portion of profits will go to charities including the Salvation Army, East
Anglia's Children's Hospices and the Kariandusi School Trust.

New Order, The Fall and Super Furry Animals will play a tribute gig at London's
Queen Elizabeth Hall on 12 October, a day before John Peel Day.

Dizzee Rascal, Bloc Party, KT Tunstall and Royksopp will be among the acts to
dedicate gigs to the DJ on John Peel Day.

Guitar legend Jeff Beck, New Order's Peter Hook and The Futureheads will also
record a cover version of The Buzzcocks' Ever Fallen In Love as a tribute
single, according to Radio 1.

John Peel was regarded as one of the UK's most influential music broadcasters,
championing a huge array of new and alternative talent during his 40-year
career.

Burlesque and offensive; insolence and derision: Le Bérurier noir is a French punk band formed in the 80’s. They called themselves "noir" for the color of mourning and also for anarchy; and "Bérurier" which is the name of a character in the novels of Frédéric Dard. They were using drum-machine, masks, expressive attitudes and yellings. It was (still is) one of the best alternative french band. They used to sing against fascism, war, the police, society and its ideals, etc.. The band refused to make a profit and to work, they lived precariously. Bérurier noir were loved by a generation and feared by concert organisers for the riots that attended their shows. Un groupe CULTE CULTE CULTE!
