What Came Next

Title: What Came Next
Author: animimares
Word Count: 100, obviously.
Rating: PG-13 for suggestiveness.
Challenge: Next.
Author's Notes: Bear with Harry, will you? He can't think with Draco this close.
_____

Harry was pretty sure he knew Malfoy’s entire repertoire of expressions.

Narrowed eyes – next came an insult.

Eyes downcast – next came a confession.

Eyes wide – next came retreat.

However, as Malfoy grabbed his arm, slamming him up against the wall, his eyes intriguingly intense, Harry’s couldn’t help but wonder what this new look would bring.

“Blow?” he asked, Malfoy’s jaw dropping.

“Pardon me?”

“Aren’t you going to hit me?”

Draco’s gawking turned into a very insult-promising smirk, but instead of words came the pressure of warm lips against Harry’s own and the feeling of a tongue demanding entrance.

“Maybe later.”

Days and Nights

Title: Days and Nights
Author: sassy_cissa
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Challenge: Next
Author's Notes: This is my first 100 word drabble and my first post here.

Whispered words in broom closets. Late night snogs on the Qudditch pitch. Secret rendezvous in the Room of Requirements. Silky blond hair and smoky grey eyes. Lips that kiss and speak words of love. These are the things that haunt Harry's dreams.

Ugly taunts with nasty words. Grey eyes filled with hate. Subtly thrown jinxes used to cause detentions. Nights filled with dreams that will never come true. Days filled with longing that work Harry into distraction. Knowledge that the next time Harry sees him may be his last. In sleeping there is hope. His reality simply hurts too much.

Title: And Now
Author: Phantomdove
Challenge: Next
Summary: Draco is lost.
Author's Notes: This is the shortened version. I liked the long version also so I kept it, as well as whittling this one down. The long version is here if you are interested.

***

Now what? When everything you ever stood for went up in smoke, there is nothing more to say.

The memories are faulty and blurred,
but everyone remembers the thrilling climax,
light and dark battling it out on your lawn,
between Mother’s favorite primroses and the fire-eating begonias.

No one ever said being right was easy.

You could have pulled through with him at your side and in your arms.
But the memories don't lie; he is dead.

So you stand here, staring at the trampled primroses and knowing that there is no next time for a Judas such as you.
