I can't believe it! I just finished my revisions!! And I am quite satisfied with the completion. I changed the ending a bit. I now hint at a sequel. I thought it would work better that way instead of leaving the readers all sad at my ending because it is depressing. lol
Anyway, just HAD to share! Oh! And it's 209 pages (120,176 words!)
I have officially broken 100K for word count!!! 103,212 words, 180 pages!!! I can't believe it. I have 20 pages left to edit too and then I am DONE!! I just thought I would take a break to share my happy news. :D hehe I am so determined to finish. A pirate's life for me!!
Well, I am finally deciding to update this journal. Wow. Amazing. I believe the apocalypse will be upon us soon now that I am... *looks around with shifty eyes*
So, I bet you're wondering (if anyone reads this) what is new with me! Well, I'll tell you because you've been so good. *gives you a cookie*
I have been working hard on the revisions of my novel. I don't remember if I posted this before, but an editor liked my book and wanted revisions done, so she could read it again. I'm hoping that means when she does read it that she gives me a contract! :P
Aside from that, I am still going to the Antelope Valley Adult School. I am working toward a certificate to be an administrative secretary.
But I don't want to be a secretary forever!! I only went to this school because it was a fast way to a better job. No more retail for me. I would have killed myself, or someone... lol ;)
So, because I don't want to be a secretary for life, I am going to sign up for classes at the community college as well. I found out I am halfway through already, which was a surprise to me. I am going to get my AA and a transfer to a California State University. :D I want to be an editor for a publishing house.
I have been researching the CSU's and it looks like the only school that has a BA program in English, and a minor for creative writing, that offers editing classes is CSU San Jose. So I hope when the time comes that I can get into it.
Sadly, I am on my own to pay for ALL OF THIS. My dad has sort of abandoned me and has no belief in me and my abilities, and my mom won't get a Goddamn job. I would get a job, but what's the point of a month and a half if I got the job right away?? And how would that look on an application anyway?? So, I am relying on my SSI money and financial aid.
OH! But I found out that when I transfer, I will be considered a junior! So less school is involved than I thought. :D hehe
Well, that is my update. Amazing, isn't it?? I know you're thrilled. I will try to update my Ghost Rider fic soon! Ta!
