I know. I know. It's been over since last September but, you know, like all good fanfic readers, the show lives long in my mind. (See, authors and such- fanfiction keeps readers thinking about your works of art and, I at least, going back for reference.)
What sticks for me is the distinct lack of bro hugs in the last several eps. I loved Scott and Stiles', in my mind, very platonic, brother-from-another-mother broship. I especially loved their bro hugs. So, in the eps after Stiles had been missing for a while (I don't remember the in story time frame) they hug for the length of time it takes one to put one's arms around another person then remove them.... and that's it. The other seasons shows them hugging and generally physically affectionate rather oftern. I really appreciate this as men aren't shown giving platonic physical affection much on tv.
So, all the other handwave-y stuff aside that was the last couple years of the show, this is what sticks in my craw the most.
It's like the Jesus story meets the Game of Thrones set in Eureka or Twin Peaks (maybe Smallville is more apt?). Or so I'm guessing as I've never watched GoT nor Eureka or Twin Peaks beyond an ep or two.

So, I've been reading Teen Wolf fic 'cause I started watching Teen Wolf (seriously? The first season's music and such was styled after old B movies!!) and have fallen in love with the characters Stiles and Lydia. The actor who plays Stiles has amazing physical comedy abilities, he puts me in the mind of John Ritter though for someone his age it was probably Jim Carrey that he grew up watching, and comedic timing.
I cannot seem to find fic that sounds like Stiles dead on. Forgive me for sounding picky and judgy but none of the fics I've read, except one which was really damned close, have left me with that Stiles feel. I'm tempted to try to do so myself but my only call is to my 00Q fic.
