halfshellvenusHalfshellHusband stumbled onto this site, and got me a bunch of knockoff LOTR mini-figs to go with the knockoff Hobbit House I built awhile back: MinifigureToys. If you're interested in fun over authenticity, this is a great place to try out. Plus, they make things that LEGO wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole!
You can actually get an entire subset of LOTR characters for about 40 bucks there, or buy them individually for $4.99. I have Bilbo, Frodo, Sam, Gandalf, Gimli, and Legolas, PLUS every character who ever touched the ring comes with a free ring and a Smeagol.
There's a Breaking Bad set. I ordered Mike for HSH, because he loves that character and because the "Don't" sign Mike is holding is just perfection. That's pretty much the definition of Mike!
I also got him a Hannibal Lecter for much the same reason. :D
I bought a Jack Skellington Sandy Claws with bonus Christmas-tree suit, a Pumpkin Man with bat, and a Wolverine for me. I don't recommend the Wolverines. The pieces need a rougher touch to assemble than LEGOs, and I broke one of Wolverine's blades putting him together.
There are characters from The Boys, sports figures, WWE, Star Wars, horror movies, yetis, Mario Brothers, and even Jesus and Mary (but no Joseph). What are you waiting for? :D
