Well, I've decided to just post rambles when I feel like it and I am particularly feeling talkative today, so here's a random post about a new hyperfixation of mine. Technically, it's a special interest, but since it's a new, sudden one, I feel the term hyperfixation works much better for it.

So, as some of you might be aware, I used to be an avid rhythm gamer. OSU, Stepmania, Rhythm Heaven, Taiko No Tatsujin, and Etterna are some of the few I played during my teen years. Unfortunately, arthritis got the best of me in my late teens, and I can't play the games like I used to. It's just how the cookie crumbles, sadly, but I'm used to it when it comes to my health.
I also really really love the sound of keyboards and the feeling of my fingers hitting the keys really fast in rapid succession of one another. It's a sort of stim for me, just tapping my fingers across the board and feeling the texture of a nice mechanical keyboard underneath. And thanks to my experience with rhythm games, my typing speed goes over 80 WPM and I tend to pump out a ton of words in a little bit of time. Now, granted, it is probably slower now, and it will continue to get slower as my arthritis progresses, but for now, it's relatively fast and I enjoy it. Purely for the sounds hahaha. (I need to wear my wrist brace more often but the problem is my knuckles... Though, my wrists never feel good, either :<)
My current keyboard is NOT a mechanical keyboard. The keys don't have the same sound and are too flat for my fingers. I write with only my middle fingers, making it difficult to write sometimes, especially on a flat keyboard with flat keys. I'm not in the place to get a new keyboard, so I'm stuck with this Logitech one, but hey, maybe I'll be able to get a new one soon. Anyway, anyway; I really miss the sounds my keys made and the feeling it gave me.
Well, I found out through some YouTube shorts that there are these little kids fidget toys called Clickeez! They're these little keycap-like toys that come on blocks and you can click them and connect them! Here's a pic of them on the keyboard set you can get!
They are SO CUTE! And I'm a very huge fan of kawaii things, especially fruit and nature themed, and these are perfect! I know it seems unfitting or weird for me to like cute things, but it's actually a bigger interest of mine aside from certain darker subjects. I have many kawaii figures, dolls, shirts, and blankets! I also collect Squishmallows; I have two nets full and an entire closet full of them. And... I only read romance novels nowadays. Not the dark romance junk or romantasy, but Edwardian/Victorian/Medieval romance. I specifically enjoy Highlander/Scottish love stories. My favorite publisher is Avon Romance and my favorite author of all time is Cathy Maxwell!
So yeah, with my love and affinity for the girl's toys that come out nowadays, I am especially obsessed with these Clickeez! I got my first pack today and got five! I need a sixth one to complete the square, but I already know that I will be carrying this block of Clickeez around everywhere I go and maybe annoying people with the constant clicking. I'm super glad to have these, as I don't have a proper fidget/stim toy and the only one I have access to is the infinity cube in my therapist's office and that sucks hahaha. Plus, I don't really want to touch something a bunch of other strangers touched when I already have to touch the door to get in and out.
But look at this logo! OMG it is sooo cute! I keep repeating myself but waaaahhh I love these!
I love the aesthetic they have going on! This is like 13 year old me's dreaaaam toy! I'm a little embarrassed being so invested in these toys so quickly, but I'm trying to just let my hyperfixations/special interests take me over without shame. It is not often I get hooked on kid's toys/shows like this, but I like a few. Not many, mind you. The only kids things I am really invested in are Squishmallows, LOL dolls, Munchlings, and My Little Pony.
And this person's set of Clickeez are adorable! I want a whole pink set but of course, these are mystery bags... Tired of those types of toys/sets! I'm ready to return to having the ability to buy the ones I want, no mystery involved!

But yeah! That's all the packs I can find right now. As for the toys, they have themes! There's a little infographic with all of the themes! My favorite is, of course, the Strawberry Treats :3
I find it so funny that the word 'kawaii' is now mainstream in the US and used a lot. I remember using it back in the early 2010s and being looked at like I was crazy. Now, everybody says it and it really gives me whiplash because I'm like, "Oh, a fellow anime/manga nerd?" But no, it's just people who have seen it used popularly. Not that I mind hahaha.
They also have LIMITED EDITION KEY CAPS WITH FIGURES!!!!! And transparent/glitter ones!!!! AH! I LOVE THEM!!!
I'm hoping I can get some more! It's been so hard for me to find fidget/stim toys to have that are easily accessible in public and can be transported with ease, so I'm really stoked that there are now some toys AND they match the aesthetic and vibes I like! The Strawberry Treats theme has actually inspired me and I'm planning on making strawberry-themed Link art and fics :3c so yes, that means more fluff and smut, as per typical for me. I've just been in the mood for happier things this year, so maybe I'll make some cute stuff now.
All in all, if you love typing and keyboards like me and need a new fidget/stim toy, then I HIGHLY recommend Clickeez!!!! They are cute, well-priced, pleasing, and all around really great! Just be careful with the bumped details on them, especially if you have long nails. I have long nails as well but am used to typing with them so it doesn't bother me, but I figured I'd let y'all know in advance!
