During a busy school year, devoting time for leisure or extracurricular reading may feel impossible, particularly when extensive reading is already a daily assignment for different classes.
Still, leaving some time in the week to relax with a book can be a powerful remedy for stress and exhaustion. Escaping into the universe of an alternative world, following the path of an engaging protagonist, and exploring intellectual topics beyond the classroom all are worthwhile pursuits discovered in an open book.
The Mudd Library primarily collects materials for Lawrence academic classrooms and research; however, patrons still can find a variety of recreational fiction or nonfiction books at the Mudd. Make sure to check the catalog to confirm if the library holds a specific book.
The Appleton Public Library is an excellent local option for finding books and other media off campus. Students can go to the library during the year to coordinate getting a library card. The library is located at 200 N Appleton Street.
In addition, library users can request materials through Interlibrary Loan.
