During the past three months I read 84 books, which brings my total for the year to 378, which is 3 ahead of schedule to hit my updated goal of 375 books for the year. 46 of the books were M/M Romances, which means 38 of the books were not, and 2 of those books were Pulitzer Prize winners. This puts me at 18 out of my  raised goal of 18 Pulitzer Prize winners for the year, which would be an average of 1.5 a month. I also read 1of the hard-copy books I own, which puts me at 4 of my goal of 4 for the year.

FYI, I'm planning on doing a f-list cleanse towards the end of the month. The journals here are pretty quiet these days, and I want to clean out some of the people who I don't see posting anymore, or who aren't interacting with me at all on my posts, or at least interacting with me in some way off-journal. This is in no way personal, but I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety lately, and I think trimming things down will help ease my mind.

Anyway, all of this is to say, if we haven't interacted in awhile, either through posts here or through private emails/chats/messages etc, but you're still around and want to stay in touch, please do let me know. I'm happy to keep y'all on if you're still here, but sometimes the feeling of shouting into the void gets a little overwhelming, and I'm working on decreasing my anxiety where possible <3

But the payout is so worth it, and the sex is crazy hot! :)

So I'm not really a big 1D fan, nor am I all that enthusiastic about bandom fics, just because I find it harder to care about RL people in a shipping sense. But anemonen recced this, and it was an AU, so I figured I'd give it a go. I really enjoyed it! It's told primarily from Louis's POV with Zayn's POV tossed in for good measure. I really liked the characterizations and the friendships between all the boys, and how their relationships grew and evolved. I really liked that the two main relationships here were really very different, and if never felt repetitive or boring. The fic is mostly Louis/Harry as far as explicit interaction goes, though Zayn/Liam does get some screen time. I will say that the "misunderstanding because of a lack of communication" trope was almost overdone for me, but I think it was resolved just in the nick of time. Overall, I seriously hot, enjoyable read. [Also highly recommend the timestamp from Liam's POV, adorable and super sexy.]

[The Raven Cycle: Gansey/Ronan & Declan/Ronan]Title: who's gonna ride your wild horses

Man, I just want to give you creators on my f-list ALL THE KUDOS, because this is already a terrifying experience and I can't even believe ya'll do this all the time.
