Ok, today is my last day in training. Apparently, I'm doing pretty good only I don't feel as if I am. At least I didn't knife myself! I'm not even going to be here the whole night. Leaving in less than an hour to go to DiCicco's for a goodbye dinner for my manager and lead. After that, I'm going home to finish the last minute packing for my upcoming trip. Blanca and I are once again going to Chicago to see our favorite guy, Morrissey as well as hang out with my friend and do a little sight seeing. Yay!!!! Sucks that our flight leaves at 6am Saturday. Oy....
It's Friday. Thank Jeebus!!!! I'm still not a happy camper, especially after finding out that my unit is going to training AFTER my Chicago trip. That really annoys me and actually causes extra work for them since they have to switch me back and forth from system locations. This sooooooooo bites!!!!
I've been in training this week with another unit. The classes are long and boring and I'm not too happy that my shift had to change. From working 2:30pm to 11pm, I am now working from 4:30pm to 1am. It's only for 2 weeks, but it's killing me... big time. I still can't seem to fall asleep any earlier. I finally knock out around 6am. Then, I wake up at 11 or earlier. My body is so tired.
It's weird being in another unit, but at the same time I don't get that nervous as to if I were with my own. I dunno... I'm weird like that. Well, it's lunch time now. I hope I can survive. hehe
Why am I attending with another unit instead of my own? Morrissey. lol Blanca and I are flying over to Chicago once again to see our favorite man. ;)
I ended up baking brownies late last night/early morning and bringing them to work today. I cut them in little bite size pieces because some people really don't like or can't have too much sweets. As soon as I emailed my unit that there were brownie bites, they pretty much were gone. People kept coming back for more. I only had a little taste this morning of one. A couple of people had decided to wait until later to have one thinking that there would still be some left (sweets usually don't go as quickly) and missed out. I was quite surprised how many people emailed me saying how good they were. I put peanut butter morsels and walnuts in them this time. I should start baking more often since it made me happy. ^_^ I guess it's that Cancerian mother-like quality. I like taking care of people I guess.
Oh, I went to Long's on my break and got my baking soda. hehe I'm gonna finish what I started sometime after work tonight. Mmm... cookies! :D I also bought a bunch of Easter candy so I can fill the plastic eggs up for Sunday's egg hunt for the kids at my grandmother's house. I'm looking forward to that. ^_^
I was in the mood to make cookies after such a long and annoying day. Sooo... I am adding and mixing and cleaning until... "3/4 tsp baking soda." I'm singing to myself and going to the cupboard where it is kept and !!!!! "NO BAKING SODA??? DENIED!!!!!" So I think to myself, "I wonder if there is a substitute for baking soda? Hmmm..." I google and research. Result: No. Damn. Oh well, I think I'll make some brownies.

Fancy the 80's? Do you ever wish you still had the opportunity to go out dancing to 80's/ New Wave? Have you ever wondered if there is anything locally that could cater to those needs? WELL! Wonder no further! Come out and dance about "Riding on the Metro" or being "Hungry Like the Wolf!" Ok, not literally, but you get my drift. Best part of it??? NO COVER, so NO EXCUSES! ^_^
Ok, I was on remembertheeighties.com and read that The Cure joined Korn for a few songs on a recent MTV Unplugged recording. This was updated today. WTF? Ugh...
