so i had a series of weird dreams last night. or maybe it was one big one, but they all surrounded the main theme of "battleships." (in the dream, everyone was calling aircraft carriers battleships... dont ask me why, but i will be reffering to them as battle cruisers)
1. Alan, Sheridan and I were hanging out in front of a large television, presumably at Sher's house. we were watching something unimportant, then a large shot of a "battle cruiser" came on, and Sheridan got all hot and bothered and made a huge deal about how cool they were, and i had to agree for whatever reason, and after a while Alan agreed too. -end part 1-
2. Im back home in Novato, talking to my dad about how i signed up to live on a "battle cruiser" starting in 2 years. but i had a knapsack over my shoulder. jump to the inside of the "battle cruiser" in its communications, or administrations, or whatever room. there was a woman behind a desk, maybe in her late 20's, and she was surrounded by videogames. mainly of the cartridge variety. but there were old gameboy games in their boxes, super nintendo, regular nintendo, genesis, 32X games, turbo graffix, basically imagine a room whose walls are literally MADE from stacks and stacks of videogames. EVERYWHERE. i asked her if these were all hers, and she replied: "well, when a whole bunch of sailors are on the sea for a long time, they accumulate a LOT of videogames." fair nuff. -end part 2-
3. I had my knapsack, mostly full of videogames, and im pretty sure i was on the "battle cruiser" but it had been made up to be some kind of video gamers paradise. there were arcades of all kinds, rollercoasters, lan parties, GAMING OF EVERY KIND. and kind of like a rad e3 kind of convention too, we all had our own dorm rooms, where a few kids stayed, and in the rooms they had some sort of system set up where 2 kids could compete, much like NickArcade... old weird games where you try to get the best score as quick as possible. well, i put my stuff down, and went outside to play, but failed to do ANYTHING fun. i was surrounded by it, but i could not fundamentally have fun. it was bizarre and frustrating. then i was around some booth or whatever, when i noticed Steven Tyler from Aerosmith a short distance away, looking at me. i hid my face and tried to avoid him, thinking to myself, "oh god, thats steven tyler, i hope he doesnt notice me..." so i walk away a bit, and some change falls out of my pocket. as im picking it up, Steven Tyler is there, helping me pick it up. there is some canadian change in there too, some one dollar and two dollar coins, AND a lame rounded-edge ninja-star shaped POG slammer. it had an engraving of a skull with a bandana saying some lame MEATHOOK phrase like "Ride with the devil, jesus!!!" or some shit like that, and he noticed the canadian change and said "those coins probably wont do you any good here, man." and to that i replied, kinda sheepishly, and not really wanting to be there, "heyyyy... youre, that Aerosmith guy, right?" "yeah." -end dream sequence-
and then i woke up.
weird, huh?
