Hello! My name is Kris or you call just call me Zelda, because, you guessed it, that's my favorite game. I am indeed of the female gender, but I can kick all my guy friends' butts anytime. There are about 19 Zelda games (in case you didn't know, and not all are released) So I will just rate Wind Waker because it is under appreciated.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
~While it is not a direct sequel to Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time, it becomes the explanation of what might of happened to the original Link. The story starts on a small island that homes the rencarnation of Link, Hero of Time. The boy sets out on a journey after his little sister has been kidnapped, as Ganondorf has mistaken her for the lost Princess Zelda.
~I agree that the art was a bit of a turn off, but the plot of this game was by far the best Zelda plot I've seen. You also get to do much more sword fighting outside of boss battles which is a plus. It follows in the glorious Zelda tradition, and is a beautiful game.
~I rate this game 10/10 for I belive that plot and characters are much better then graphics.

That's my first rating. *nervous laughter*

keep in mind, this review is done when i'm only part-way through the game, and knowing square, it will get a million times better.

KINGDOM HEARTS 2
starts off slow. pace quickens, plot thickens, all the signs that you're playing a square game. if you think, i played the first one, the fighting hasn't changed. you'll be proved wrong, it'll just take some time to prove you wrong. you don't play as sora for the first 3 hours of the game, but it's fine because of how the story is going and the fact that the person you do play as is pretty cool in his own respects. but this game has an addiction factor. times a lot. i can't seem to put it down, only for writing this review, and for work. i wonder how many sick days i have left...... but anyway, this is an amazing game. and even if you may not have cared for the first one (which is, to my knowledge, impossible. unless you don't have the required security in your masculinity to play a game with disney characters), this one is better, so give it a chance. the battle system adds some nice features like a "god of war"esque reaction button commands. (you hit triange when it pops up to do a cool attack that involves things such as flying through the hydras heads and attacking them on pegasus, and also limit breaks.) this game also adds in the drive gauge, which also substitutes for the summon gauge. what this means is, that when your drive gauge is full, you can turn into different forms that you acquire throughout the game. the first one it starts you off with is the valor form, you combine with goofy and you do more damage plus you dual wield two keyblades. it's probably the most fun i've had in a while with a game. if you liked the first one at all, you'll love this one and not be let down by it. just give it some time, a handful of hours of playtime, and it will prove to you that this is the true heir to kingdom hearts, and that it's earned it's name as a sequel.
10/10

i'll make another review later on, after it somehow gets even better. :)

it's been too long. but i've got some reviews for you.

RADIATA STORIES: ps2
RATED T

did you like star ocean: till the end of time? you'll love this. great plot, great characters, great replayability. i hope square enix keeps up the good work
8/10

ROMANCING SAGA: ps2
RATED E10

another square enix game, a remake of an older one though. the battle system is a little lacking, and it never really tells you where to go. it lacks direction a lot of the time, but it's still a good game.
6.5/10

JAK X: COMBAT RACING: ps2
RATED T

i love this game. it's like the best parts of burnout mixed with the best parts of mario kart. i cannot express how good this game is. it's just a shame that there is no co-op. but there is online play.
9/10

RATCHET: DEADLOCKED: ps2
RATED T

fun. that's all there is to it. it's a blast, but it's too short. the replayability is there, but it's kind of unnecesary. but the online part truly shows you where this game is. particles everywhere, stuff exploding left and right. this is how you have the most fun with a shooter online.
9/10

i don't know if i reviewed this yet or not but here it goes anyway:
SOUL CALIBUR III: ps2
RATED T

i know what you've heard, "it's not as good, blah blah blah." they're kind of right, it's better. it's much better than two. the characters are more balance, raphael's cheapness has been nerfed. the graphics are beautiful. the custom character mode could be better, but it's still pretty cool. if you like fighting games at all, or even if you don't care for them, pick this up. it will either start your fighting game career or give you a new way to kick some cocky kids face in.
9.5/10

GUN: xbox,ps2,gamecube,360
RATED M

i played this game on xbox, so the graphics were even better, keep that in mind. this game is amazing. it's addicting, it's beautiful, it's gory. and even better, it's not a tony hawk game. grats to neversoft for finally making something worthwhile. the sidequests are kind of pointless and the game itself is not too long. but the plot, action, controls and pretty much everything else are amazing. and now it's 30 dollars so you have no excuse to not get it.
9/10

XBOX 360
won't be too sure until the other systems come out but for now....
wtf? 400 dollars for an xbox ver1.5? this is the most overhyped piece of crap i have ever wasted my time with. then you get all those fanboys saying it's the best. why? because of the 3 good games out for it/ because the fact you just paid 250 more dollars than a regular xbox just to get similar graphics? they could have done this with the original xbox if they tried. look at doom 3, now compare to quake 4. same graphics, but to top it all off, the 360 is having framerate problems! same as full auto! "that's a nice slideshow i'm playing, now for the game." save your money and buy A)a pc, it's better anyway or B)a ps3 which is also, better already and it's not even out yet. but this is all for now, we'll see once microsoft actually starts releasing games for it how good it is. till then, it's a waste of time and money.

NINTENDO DS
nintendo, why do you do this to me? you push me far away by being such stubborn fools, then you drag me back by making your stubborness work. now i can't wait for the revolution either thanks to it's 200 dollar price tag. now you better release more than mario, zelda, and metroid for the revolution. kind of like what you didn't do with the gamecube.

SONY PSP
now that's it's actually got some games out, it's a force to be reckoned with. though the movies still outnumber the games, which pisses me off to no end mind you, there are some quality games out with more on the way. a new tenchu for psp? sign me up.

that's it for now kids, but i'll be updating more in the future.
sincerely,
one of your mods,
tony.

The words...

So many things out there are being said about it, but we don't yet know what is true. The X-BOX 360, what looks to be a GREAT gaming devic, is what I am talking about. So, after taking all the millions of rumors that have been told, and the few facts there actually are about it, here...

This starts with a colony, I would say, ourcolony actually. I think it's similar to the ilovebees site from before, if you dont understand what I'm talking about with that, then ok. You shouldnt.
But, here...

I think, it will have a removable hard drive, 40 gig, and when removed could act as a media device. There have been so many things out there that point to this, and with the new picture has appeared, it looks like this may true. There is also this one that showed up too....

I need your help!

Ok, I don't know if you've heard of the colony, but I need to get people to join mine, cause I need the info the site tells me.

go to www.ourcolony.net and figure out how to get in. If you do, then click on the join community bar thing. Then find the colony named:

g@m3kr@q|25

and enter this as the password:

If you can't figure out what the quiz is to get into the site, then I will tell you what it is, but I think you could figure it out, so yeah. Message me back and tell me if you want to join in or not. I do need your help though. Cause I, or we, need to have at least 5 people in our community.

Next Gen Xbox's MTV Debut
Half hour special hosted by Elijah Wood.
by Axel Strohm
04/11/2005
While new game consoles are traditionally unveiled at industry-only events like the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Microsoft's next-generation game console will make its debut in front of a global television audience on MTV.
"Just as MTV revolutionized the way the world experiences music, the next-generation video game console from Xbox will spark a revolution in how consumers experience games and other forms of digital entertainment," says Peter Moore, corporate vice president of worldwide marketing and publishing for Xbox at Microsoft.

Elijah Wood, internationally known for his role in the Academy Award-winning Lord of the Rings trilogy will host the event. The special will provide a look at upcoming games, a behind the scenes look at the making of the console, live performances by Los Angeles rock group The Killers and celebrity interviews.

The special will air in North America on May 12 at 9:30 Eastern, followed by broadcast in Asia Pacific and Europe over a 24 hour period.

PSP, it's in my possetion.

OMMFJMFC
Click here for what that means, note, it isn't exactly proper english. (explicits)Collapse )

After about two to three seconds of the PSP being on, in my possetion, I knew what the worlds knows. The DS is going down. Despite the sales problems the PSP has had so far, when the price hits $199.99 there will be no saving DS. Nintendo will DEFINATELY have to work their asses off for the DS to come out on top. I mean, seriously. I can explain little about the PSP, cause you can't get the feeling of it without actually touching it....

I have been waiting for this....

The zgl rating of,

The Sony PSP

Sadly, many people think I am out to get Sony, and think I am not ever gonna give them a break. I figure these are the same people that have never seen my mass amount of PS2 games, or realize that I have two times as many PS2 games as I do GBA, Nintendo DS, 3DO, Saturn, PS1, X-Box, and Gamecube combined. So, that is to be cleared up before I start my pre-review.

On a note, this is my right before I buy it judgement, after this weekend I will give it an after owned rating.

Pre-Bought Overall Score:

9.98172637816248265681355214778287234/10

This is a very close decision because this thing has what appear to be almost flawless features. I only had a few problems with it, one was a big one, but it is something that I can deal with.
The BIG problem I have with it is it's battery life. This isn't enough to take the rating down very much at all, but it does give a .00000000001 difference. Only having 2 to 3 hours for a movie without the AC adapter is kinda blah, but at least it makes up for it with the 6 hour gameplay length. My question to this is, what if you are playing a game with alot of "movielike" cut-scenes? Is this gonna take my battery power down or is it gonna stick with the 6 hours? When I give my next review hopefully I have a game with alot of them to check this with. Hopefully you see why the 2 to 3 hours movie is a big deal to me. If I'm watching a movie, I don't think I'll be watching Lord Of The Rings, or Bicentenial Man, so i don't have to worry too much. Luckily, if I do want to watch those though, there is the Nyko Theater Experience.

The things that come with it, you know the 32MB Memory Stick, headphones, AC adapter, carrying case, demo disc, and wrist strap. Yeah, those are kinda nice.

The memory stick is cool cause you can load music and pictures to it, which is nice. Also, you can buy a SanDisk Memory Stick, which they make in the sizes of 256, 512, and a gig. For those of you who don't know, the gig, thats the better of all of the sizes.

An interesting bit is the screen. It changes with the month. Thats kinda cool. Unless you don't like the color for that month. Then your stuck with it. Oh well. I like the colors.
January: White
February: Soft Yellow
March: Pea Green
April: Pink
May: Green
June: Soft Purple
July: Turquoise
August: Navy Blue
September: Purple
October: Yellow
November: Brown
December: Red

More when I buy it.... till then...

Right and wrong...

This post started as a return comment to tonerboner's comment to this post.

You are right about alot of things with this, but you do forget that Nintendo has a history of overcoming the odds. Lets see, they are still around, Sega is gone. They kicked themselves in the face by making and selling the playstation, but they are still fighting the good fight, and they aren't losing money on the gamecube, gba/gbasp, or the ds like sony has ALREADY lost on the PSP. The truth of the matter is that the PSP is awesome. No matter what, I love it, and want it VERY badly. But the PSP has already lost the company so much money they are going to have a hell of a time making it up. Despite the fact that they are selling PSP's well, they haven't even made a dent in how much it cost them to make it with its current profit, or lack thereof, from it.

So at the current rate, Sony will be out of gaming before Nintendo. And no, not "just because" of the PSP. Also, they have their, "legal battle" that is going to take a HUGE effect on their profits. You can't lose 90.6 million dollars, be told to remove your PS2's, PSP's and many game titles, and expect to stay afloat. Yes the case has been appealed, so they have more time, but they have no chance of getting a reversal. All an appeal does is see if the evidence used was stable enough to carry the sentence, they are screwed in that respect because they used the EXACT technology that the Emmerson Company patented for copyright. Microsoft, in case you didnt know also got in trouble for this but they were smart enough to take care of it out of court for 20 million dollars, then they bought 10% of the company.

But, back to the point I was trying to make. Nintendo doesn't lose anything on the "vibration technology" they used because it was their own design and they got an agreement with Emmerson before they implemented it. So, those TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS that the PS2 outsold the other two has been consumed, by the THENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS that they lost in the Emmerson battle, and the MILLIONS they currently are under in the wait for the PSP to turn a profit.

Now, to the defense of Sony, they are not gonna fall off the gaming market from any of this. They are only going to have drawbacks. They will financially suffer for sometime, but, they will kick back, and hopefully very strongly.

Back to Nintendo, they are finally planning out the big beyond. Yes they are making online plans. GASP! Of course though, a little late for the Gamecube. So the Revolution, thats the codename for the next Nintendo, is going WI-FI. Along with the WI-FI for the DS. They, "plan to have an active agenda for online play for the next generation of Nintendo products", which, starts with the goliath of games the DS has coming to it by the end of the year. The most noteable game to have the Online feature will be Animal Crossing DS, which AC was awesome so you can only figure as much from a DS version. The DS is about 6 to 7 months set in now, and it still has few titles, which hinders it, but their are many on the way. Which goes back to the PSP, which thank god has about 20 games at release. But, what the DS has that the PSP lacks is new games. Yes it has GT4, and a game or two else, but A remake of MGS, and of Spiderman 2 (which might I add is one of the worst games to date), a hacked up tetris, a remixed THUG2, a NFSU Rivals, and ALOT of sports games that have been out. Yes there are many games, click here to see the list.Collapse )
but, does that mean that it is going to do better than ANY OTHER HANDHELD SYSTEM EVER has against Nintendo. Remembering that Nintendo has both the DS and the GBA/GBASP, and they both sell regularly, and both sell very well, GBA(sp) has enough games to fill a small country, much like the PS2 does with the exception that the PS2 has enough for one and a half small countries.
DS gamelist... topping 90 with 96 games, many are announced, but they will get here...Collapse )

I would say that Sony looks to be in more trouble than Nintendo. Not saying either are gonna die off, just saying right now Sony is having worse problems.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Before anyone says, oh, you are nothing but a Nintendo Fan Boy, thats why your opinion is biased. I just want you all to know, I dont want ANY of these companies to go down. I believe that people should know Nintendo is not in as much trouble as everyone thinks.
