Title: Disconnected Author:kashewmoo Pairing/Characters: Oishi/Kikumaru Rating: R Word Count: 9727 Summary: Kikumaru is upset by the lack of communication between he and Oishi while they’re attending separate high schools, and doesn’t know how to deal with it. Warnings: Sexual content and lots of stupid, but at least they’re cute? ♥ Notes: This was originally a fic written for top_cagnotte in 2010 for venivincere. I've been meaning to post it here, but have only just now gotten around to it. :X (My, what a long time it's been since I used my community! Hello there!)
Frustrating. The best word I can use to describe Yukimura and Sanada is "frustrating." Granted, this is their musical counterparts, but they're almost as bad (if not worse) as the characters themselves. I place all blame on Sanada muse for the urge to translate a couple of songs from Kanesaki and Yagami's best actor's album. Between this song and Hatsukoi... just... yeah.
I read a post a couple of days (weeks?) ago on tenipuri that somebody was interested in the translation of Fujouri. Since I've also been curious myself to properly read the lyrics, I decided to work on a translation when I heard the song come up on iTunes and reminded me of said post. It's pretty straightforward, though... there's definitely a sexual undertone that is readily apparent in a couple of the lines in particular. I think RPing too much Tango Pair has gotten to my head, as well. All I could do while I was translating this song was picture the two people in the song to be Atobe and Sanada (or, the Tango Pair that I RP at crystal_drive in particular). Siiiigh.
It's been a little while since I've posted here, huh? :3
I don't have any translations, at the moment, though I am working on some. Instead, I'm going to post a couple fanart for two of my RPs - one, Tezuka/Sengoku from shampooqueens and then two pictures of Eiji from an AU. I'll let you guys see for yourself what the AU is. ;)
I'm horribly out of practice, and I'm trying to rediscover what it's like to CG using my mouse - my tablet is unusable, at the moment. :/ But, I'm on a drawing kick, so don't be surprised if you see a couple similar entries popping up.
:x I... honestly don't particularly care for this song. I do like the lyrics (and it hits home with my Eiji muse), but I'm not sure. Takki sounds a little like Takahashi Hiroki in some parts of the song, and it... confuses me. XD; But, it's not that bad, really; it's one of those songs that has to grow on me like Type wa D! Read: after listening to it over and over again in order to translate.
I have to admit, I didn't really listen closely to the lyrics while I was first listening to this song. It wasn't until I started to write the kanji on my computer that I realized how, lyric-wise, this song actually really has a good meaning behind it. It really is the truth. I think everybody should give it a read rather than let me talk inspirational to you all. :3
Technically this is a Golden Pair song, but it is sung by Takki and Setomaru, the third cast Seigaku Golden Pair for Tenimyu. :3 The first time I heard this song, I knew that I wanted to translate it; reminds me of everything I appreciate about how the Golden Pair work together, and how really... endearingly mushy they can be about one another, at times.
♥ The very first properly translated song from Tsuki no Kidou, and is the one that I've been very, very excited about translating ever since I read the lyrics before even hearing the song. I don't want to say too much about this to ruin what's under the cut, so I'm just gonna let you go ahead and read it instead~
Also, just so people know, this is one of the two songs that Kondou, himself, wrote. ♥ I'll probably be tackling the second, Omoi, next. But, Koikaze is probably my favorite from this entire album, even putting these lyrics aside. :3 It's just very sweet.
