ngl a lot of yall start associating "trans woman/transfem" with "transradfem/bigoted" and it reminds me a lot of how when more eyes were on palestine, a lot of yall viewed "jewish" as synonymous with "zionist."

the problem isn't someone's personal, marginalized (often involentary) identity, the problem is the belief itself, and the fact that you are beginning to view this marginalized group as more likely to be oppressive and dangerous compared to others, especially a group that has been portrayed as manipulative and/or threatening for years, well, maybe it's time for some self-analysis and unlearning a few things.

anyways i support you trans women i support you transfems i support you jewish folk and you are not required to speak out against widespread bigotry in your community just because you share an identity-based label. you are allowed to be upset when people assume you must be a bigot just because of who you are. you are not bigoted for pointing out the hypocrisy of further stigmatizing a marginalized group in support of another one (supposedly), when folks outside of that community also participate in that bigotry and don't get questioned nearly as often (there are trans men and enbies who are transradfems, there are nonjewish and palestinian folks who are zionists). you are not a bigot for existing. you are not more likely to be a bigot just because of others in your community. you do not have to become a spokesperson against bigotry just because others have become a spokesperson for it. the bigotry of others does not erase the bigotry that you face and you are not wrong if/when you start realizing that some people are intentionally or unintentionally using their vocalized support for one group to further stigmatize yours

Our Commitment to Maximum Inclusivity

AO3 was founded partly in response to a growing trend of fanworks being removed from websites that had previously allowed them. This pattern has been observed numerous times throughout fandom history.

Whenever there are fears about censorship on other sites, AO3 sees an increase in the waitlist for our automatic invitation queue. Regardless of their reasons for joining, we welcome any new user to our site who agrees to abide by our Terms of Service. We will not vet new users for "legitimacy", because AO3 is for everyone.

The OTW has no plans to change the content we allow on AO3, and we stand by our commitment to maximum inclusiveness of fanwork content. We will not remove works unless they violate the AO3 Terms of Service, and we don't make decisions based on how many times something is reported. Users do not need to worry that anyone's works will be taken down due to a baseless report or a mass-reporting campaign, if one were to occur.

Regarding the unverified rumors that reports to the Policy & Abuse committee have greatly increased in the past few days, changes in ticket volume can be due to many different factors (including simple coincidence). If you're interested in learning more about how many and what kinds of reports the Policy & Abuse committee receives, we publish information about the previous month's tickets in our monthly newsletters as well as an annual breakdown of ticket types on the OTW website.

I write to you with tears weIIing in my eyẹs, my body wracked with paìn every second. I write to you because the ignore me and neglect I've endured hurts me more than my injụries. So remember. even if I díẹ. I wiII nẹvẹr f0rgivẹ anyone who ignored me and my suffering. I impIọre evẹryọne to look at me and hẹIp me by dọnątiņg and shąring whatever they can.

fadell-aldany

This week, I've been battling severe pain and frequent fainting spells due to severe anẹmia, and l'm completely unąble to afford essẹntial mẹdicatiọns because ọf their high cọst. AII I wish for is for these fąinting spells to stọp, and for me to find cọmpassionate hẹarts to stąnd by me so I can bụy my mẹdication and recover quickly.

fadell-aldany

ShrapneI stiII lodges in my body, and the pain keeps me awake at night. What makes my suffering even worse is that I was injured when our house was bombed while we were inside. So l nẹẹd ụrgẹnt sụrgẹry but the cọst of the ọperątion is exorbitant, and l cąn't affọrd it. Nọw I can't even affọrd painkillers to the constant pain tearing at my body.

fadell-aldany

PIease l don't want to diie, I just want to live without pain. l nẹẹd yọur sincere sụppọrt to sąvẹ mv Iife and end this suffẹrina as soon as possibIe. PIẹąse, I would be extrẹmeIy grateful to anyonẹ who cąn dọņąte tọ mę. and if you can't, I hope you will sharẹ this pọst.

Anonymous asked:

Asian-Americans are functionally white atp

creatingblackcharacters answered:

I disagree.

creatingblackcharacters

There is a conversation to be had about a desire of proximity to Whiteness (that can be had about every nonblack group), and how white supremacy pushes the idea of the model minority as one of many ways to push our groups apart. But "functionally white"? No. Can't agree with you on this one.

Also why'd you send this to me 😭 there are actual Asian led pages here that someone could have had this conversation with you about.
