absolutely this did not need to be 3 hours do back to editing maybe a hot take but PHM would be so much better as a ‘see it with your family’ adventure if it was shorter not enough substance for 3 hours if you ask me maybe just 2 hits would’ve been the sweet spot a bit less maybe

I was listening to a Discord and Rhyme podcast on Travelling Wilburys (which is very fun). The hosts were a bit older and most got into the band through Tom Petty. My own stepmom is the same. The general consensus between them seemed to be ‘before I realised how cool Jeff Lynne is I though he was the odd one out’.

But from my own experience and the general consensus of modern discussions Tom is considered vaguely the odd one out. It’s ‘The greatest lyricist, the greatest melodist, the greatest producer, the greatest singer and Tom Petty’ you know?

So how’s the odd Wilbury to you? I’m very lost if it’s a generational thing or a social media bubble thing?
