Summary:

**MANGA SPOILERS!!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!**

Olruggio arrives home in the middle of the night after working with a client. He doesn’t expect Qifrey to still be awake and awaiting his arrival. But when the two share a drink, lips loosen and secrets spill between them.

“I told you not to wait up for me.” He pushes a frustrated hand through his hair. 

“I know.”

Silence stretches between them. Olruggio isn’t sure if it’s because he’s practically half asleep but something feels… off about Qifrey. He steps closer, concern pulling at his brow. Soft purple underlines his friend’s eyes, sitting in dark contrast against his pale skin. He must not have been sleeping again. Qifrey averts his gaze, like he can hear Olruggio’s thoughts. 

“Nightmares again?”

Qifrey breathes a humorless laugh, eye closing as he shakes his head, “You know me too well, my dear friend.” He gestures to the low table between them, “Sit with me?”

Summary:

After the removal of the Silverwood, Qifrey still struggles to be intimate with Olruggio. He’s tried over and over again and failed each and every time.
But finally, he makes a breakthrough…

“I thought I’d be able to this time. I thought I could finally get past it.” Qifrey’s voice wavers. The tears come before he can stop them. He tries to bite into his lip to hold back the sob that’s steadily climbing up his throat.

“Qifrey…” Olly’s voice is too soft, too kind. It makes the broken parts of Qifrey fracture just a little more.

Olruggio swipes his thumb over the tears on Qifrey’s cheek. “It’s alright, love. I’ve got you.”

Summary:

A bitter storm brews in the valley surrounding the atelier. One by one, each of its residents seek shelter and comfort in a certain flame witch’s tower.

A low grumble of thunder rolls through the valley outside the atelier. Storms weren’t uncommon this time of year, but the deluge of rain hammering against the roof and windows made Olruggio sigh and hang his head in preemptive defeat. There would most definitely be a leak for him to fix in the morning.

A serpentine flash of light slices through the midnight sky. Olruggio counts the seconds under his breath until the answering roar of thunder follows. It’s close. He sets his pen back into its cradle on his work table and his eyes wander to the door of his tower. It wouldn’t be long until Qifrey came to him, like he did every time the rain got bad.
