This group for those whom have a difficult time finding that perfect pattern for stained glass making or glass painting. This is a group that is ment to share patterns with each other. So if you do have any to share please post them to the community( make sure the patterns are not a huge file) Patterns will be organized by subject in folders in the memories to make it easier upon members.
LJ-CUT just creates different text in the context of your friend's page and in entry itself. In your friend page, it cuts everything between the < lj-cut text="HI!"> all the long nasty text or pictures goes here in the middle < /lj-cut> and replaces it with the text '( HI! )' and makes that a link. On your actual journal entry, you don't see anything abnormal, it's missing the text. It make it more user friendly for ppl with slower connections. TUTORIAL FOR INTERNET PIC POSTING
Now lets say if have a pic you want to share with everybody on the group that you found ON THE INTERNET and it is not a pdf file. Well this is what you do.
1) You will have two windows open. One will be the internet site containing the pic you would like to post. And the other window will contain your LJ ready to update a new journal entry in the "rich text" format. These windows will be side by side... 2) By selecting the picture you want to post... you click and hold down the picture using your mouse. Then you will "drag" the selected pic over to your LJ "ready to post" window until the cursor turns into a lil plus sign. This will be the same place as where your text goes (ie. text box). IMPORTATANT - Make sure you are placing your pic AFTER the ljcut type. (to be friendly to our slow internet connected users) 3) Let go of your mouse button and your pic should appear in the text box. You can also resize then pic if you think it is too big... but this gets a lil tricky. 4) Write whatever text you like. This prodedure should work through out LJ... I use it all the time.
