I am passionate about software development tools and large-scale software integration. In particular, I have experience developing software build systems for integrating complete heterogenous OSS software stacks into a commercial environment using that stack as a base for embedded product lines.
My approach is to provide maximized flexibility and functionality with minimized code and complexity. As such, I strongly advocate a functional programming style and the use of declarative languages and tools. In that sense, I am more interested in the mathematical and algorithmic concepts to describe a problem than in the actual implementation details.
While growing up as a typical computer nerd I got increasingly interested in coaching teams about how to achieve good results after learning that doing too many things yourself does not scale despite the extensive technical knowledge I do possess.
