As you see from the flaws comment, this isn't going to work because {{jsxref("null")}} points to a redirected page. This is truly unfortunate but unless we change Yari we have to use {{jsxref("Global_Objects/null", "null")}}, but that doesn't look much better than a Markdown link, so we just use Markdown links anyway. In general, we discourage you spending time changing macros to Markdown or the opposite, because both work and it's just a stylistic choice.
