  • Addresses validation errors:
    • missing <!DOCTYPE>
    • missing <title>
    • missing lang attribute in <html>
    • missing alt attribute in <img> (for logo)
    • unnecessary type attribute in two <script>s
  • Applies format rules to the document's markup
