Girls Lane

GirlsLane is an *idea* that turned into a *website* and now we want to make the website come ALIVE with a LiveJournal community. Basically, the site is for girls in Lane County Oregon and it is hooked into a large database of resources for girls (programs -- places to go/things to do, medical, school, work, help categories). The site shares and invites girls to submit writings, drawings, links to good sites, books, etc. LiveJournal gives us a way to TALK to each other in a more personal way.


1. Please keep non work-safe or 56k unfriendly content off of the main page. Please use an lj-cut for pictures, exceptionally long posts, and/or potentially offensive writing. (it's easy! just type <.lj-cut.> before your image/text/whatever, but without the periods.)

2. No flamewars please!!! This is a FRIENDLY community! Keep nasty/hurtful comments to your email accounts or personal journals.


3. Feel free to post community promotions, but please consider whether the community would genuinely be interesting to us or not. Please do NOT post promotions related to rating communities or communities that require that you promote them before you can join. That's just spammage and we don't need it clogging up our space.
