Looking for a Justin is missing fic. I don't remember the author or title just a bit of story plot. Post 513...Justin went to New York and he and Brian are still together. Justin disappears and Jennifer and Brian go too NY together to look for him. Brian moves into Justin's apt in NY and hired a PI too help locate Justin. Over the course of several months Brian is asked too view a couple of John Does that fit Justin description. Justin was mugged and severely beaten and left in a coma. Brian eventually locates a comatose Justin in a Hospital. Justin wakes up and I believe they both moved back to the Pitts.


FIC FOUND: it's MAYBE by not_yet_defined....one of my favorite authors. Thanks everyone for the help.

I tried looking through the tags but I couldn't find anything, does anyone know of any fics where Brian fingers Justin?

UPDATE: Found a few links for fics thanks to some awesome people but I'm still looking for more. :)

(I tried to find a similar post but there is no such tag. The closest thing was somebody asking if some specific fanfics are in character and this is what actually gave me the idea to file such request.)

There are many fanfics out there - epic in proportions, well-written, with great plots. But I have to admit that many of them, even those considered must reads and classics - give me a feeling of OOC-ness. There's Brian - nice and affectionate in a schmoopy way, not afraid of commitment. There's Justin - pliant and a completely damsel in distress-like, letting others abuse and manipulate him. There's evil and plotting Michael that actively tries to break Justin and Brian up... No matter that according to canon!Brian, there's nothing to break up. There's even more evil Ethan, Mel and Lindsay being such bad mothers that their children have to be taken away and even though all of those plots are fun to play with, they're not very much true to the characters from the show.

So I was thinking about compiling a list of stories and authors, that could be considered QAF purists when it comes to characterization. No matter if it's a gap-filler, or an AU story, I just need something to sooth my QAF withdrawal, something that will really feel like the show.

I trust your judgement, even though I'm aware that people can feel very differently about some stories. It doesn't matter, I still want your opinion! (After a while, I'll compile your recs into a nice list and put it in this post, under the cut).

Hi everybody I'm looking for two stores I read a while ago.

In the first one Brian is in Pittsburgh and Justin is in New York. The story kkinda goes through a day in Justin's life. It talks about him working at a diner in New York and how he feels sick, and it jumps to him sleeping in his apartment and Brian waking him up. Apparently Justin was so sick that he didn't puck up his phone, so Brian flew all the way to New York to figure what's wrong with him.

In the second one there is Brian living in Justin's apartment in New York. It's pretty angsty!! It's something about Justin disappearing from one day and no one being able to find him. Brian apparently goes to live in his tiny apartment and is working from there. It goes through the whole process of him getting phone calls to identify bodies at the morgue!! At the end he gets a final phone call from a hospital; apparently Justin was in some kind of coma, or something like that, and he just woke up so he was able to contact Brian.

I searched through the memories (I was sure I saw these one here before) but couldn't find anything. If anyone has a link to these stories I would really appreciate it :) !!!!

Ack. I'm sorry to make this my first post on the Get It Here! comm, but dang, I'd really like to find some well-written (or mediocre written.. or written) stories where one or the other of them, well... you know. I love the happy/schmoopie/hawt stuff so very much, but sometimes I just love a good cry, too.

I just read Counting Blue Cars  by mclachlan   and it was wonderful (and really unique). Doesn't have to be a 'happy' ending like that one. I also read both of kiden's and Five Things Brian Kinney Never Did  by ragingpixie (also wonderfully written).I did check the tags for death fic and major character, but didn't find much besides these. Any help would be appreciated!

So I recently got two of my new friends at university into Queer as Folk and I'm at their residence almost every day watching with them. One of them is now in the middle of season 3 and I had to suffer through the Ethan-period with her. But now she's just finished 308 and watching it with her has put me in the mood for some 308 fics.
Could you guys please recommend me some good ones focused around the time Justin and Brian get back together after the Ethan-saga? I'm also interested in cute fics about Justin working at Vangard etc.
