Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What's on your crafting wish list?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Messed up on the baby blanket so badly I simply have no idea how it happened and I've been examining the damn thing for about an hour. Tried un-knitting and re-knitting and it made it worse somehow. Anyway, got to a point where it's workable and I'm just gonna say the mistake rows will keep the baby safe from the fae and that's worth something. 24 rows done!

I'm sorry. That is so frustrating. At least you were able to get it to a workable place.

Yes, always go with keeping the baby safe from the fae!

To answer the weekly question, right now on my wishlist is someone to untangle this yarn for me. I have created Son of Steve. It's very discouraging.

Today, I sort of wrote. This year, our library's summer reading challenge for adults is to read 10 books and to make up your own enrichment activity for each book (and also rate both the book and the activity). Not my favorite reading challenge they've done, but to that end, today, I've made up a local cryptid, made a playlist for the Absolute Batman universe, wrote 2 book reviews, and made up a text version of a make your own OC game; Let's Make a Dungeon Crawler OC! I finished the reading half of this challenge a week ago and I'd really like to turn it in tomorrow.

Good luck with untangling the dratted yarn.

I wish we lived close by. I love untangling yarn.

This is genuinely the first time I've heard someone else say that! I worked in a charity shop and some 'kind' soul donated a bag of hopelessly tangled yarn. You can bet I took that bag home and returned, the next day, with several balls of yarn.

I would recommend it as an occupation for anyone over stressed in life. It requires focus that does not allow the brain to dwell on anything else.

Cherry pit pillow count: four completed, eight more to go.
I also labelled the 11 jars of fig jam. Picture is coming up, soon.

I finished making a pair of grey crepe trousers. A girl can never have too many pairs of trousers, however, so my next project will be the same.
