Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What kinds of organizers do you like to hold your arts and crafts supplies?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Clearly, pollinating won't be a problem in your area. *g*

Excellent work!

That's a lot of intricate work. Go you! I hope they sell well when all finished. They sound like they'd make fun brooches.

Here are all 12 Christmas Teddies in their full glory:

I hope so. Teddies are generally very popular, but public taste can switch unexpectedly.

I hope so, after all the work I've put into them. ;))

This morning I wound yarn and started this Tiger Eye Lace Scarf, which I'm hoping to get done for a Nerdopolis challenge this month.

Might work on it some more after dinner, but I really should finish another coaster sample for a potential class first.

Well done

Still here and still crafting. Got a lot on right now and am behind with online stuff, but will get myself together and do a crafting update soon. Mostly at the moment it's been the mother of all spring cleans and a sell off of a lot of stuff.

Good luck!

What kinds of organizers do you like to hold your arts and crafts supplies?

I am following this check-in for ideas, because I don't really have any organization tools or method and my stuff is wild. I have a cabinet with two shelves inside that's full of yarn in skeins and cakes, a printer's box full of beads and beading notions, a yarn swift and winder, a sewing box full of spools and bobbins, and a stack of interlocking blocking mats. The knitting needles in various sizes are just chaotically stuck in jars and there's another basket and drawer full of yarn and some fabric I was cutting to make a quilt that I just never launched...

I feel like I'm doing the most just putting everything in one place but I need help. I think I bought size 10 circulars three times because I couldn't find the ones I already had.

My knitting needles are also in jars (okay, those weird cylinder gift boxes for wine bottles without the lids). To help cut down the needle chaos, I cut a bunch of index cards in half and every time I have a matched pair of needles together, I stab them into one of the half of index cards (separate holes, but same card half). That way they are at least together. Some of them are even labeled with what size needles go in the card.

I also don't know how many small & tiny things you have, but second hand daily pill sorters & tackle boxes can be very helpful.

Would 3M hooks on a wall or door back help with storage of the circular needles?

Yesterday I knitted 3 rows on the cable blanket. Today, I knitted 4.

I need to check if my bag for Lynne's tomorrow is ready. I know I worked on it a couple days ago, but I'm not sure I finished.

Thanks!

I have finished the construction of my jacket. It fits and looks OK but, being plain grey wool, it also looks very plain. I have to go into town for an optician appointment this afternoon, so I'm going to see if I can find some nice gimp braid for it. I can get it online, but it's tricky matching up colour via computer and it's expensive enough to annoy if I get it wrong.

It is true, colours always look different on the computer screen. Nothing beats giving things the good, old-fashioned close eyeball.
