Hello, I am new to this community and I also have a blog: Purebred German Shepherd

I also have a German Shepherd who is almost 2 years old and her name is Ava. She is a Purebred but I am wanting to adopt my next one.

. I focus on keeping our dogs sharp... keep their brains going. Just as we age and are forgetfull our dogs tend to be the same way as us. It's very important to keep them focus to give them a long lasting life. Hope you enjoy it :)

Feeling very haggard :( Yesterday, Deimos and I took a nap together on top of the stairs while my husband was mowing the yard... God... Deimos and I were out. Breeze felt nice... although Deimos kept on kicking me that turd :) I guess Deimos is doing the dragging today... I'll follow the lead.

Hi everyone

 

Just joined this community. I got a new puppy who is half shepherd half rotti. I think she will look more shepherd. At the moment she is keeping me awake with her crying. She is not liking her kennel at all. I was just wondering if anyone has some tips they could pass along that would help her get used to it.

Sunday was the fourth anniversary of my dear, sweet Mercy's passing.  She still seems so fresh in my mind and heart.  Even though I have been raising two beautiful GSD/border collie pups for the past two years, it still hurts every time I think of my girl, my Mercy.



Following is a series of journal entry I made leading up to my baby's death.  In the beginning, my sweet Mercy had what our vet believed to be a tooth infection that had spread to the bone around the tooth.  On June 1, I was notified that she had terminal bone cancer.  On June 8, 2004, Mercy was put down.

This is a lengthy entry, mostly to serve as my own reflection and remembrance.  But I figured if anyone would understand my lasting pain and feeling of loss, it would be the members of this community. 

Today my 13 week old GSD's ears stood up for the first time. I am so pleased. Visit my journal for the adorable pictures.
