When the unexpected happens

What happened to me today is a great example of how amazing these dogs are for us.

I have dizzy spells that come on with no morning at all. The doctors think it is deniers disease but have not been able to perform the proper tests because I am not close enough to my doctors office to get there while I am having one.

I went out on a morning walk to get a number of things done. Tennyson was on his game and really being cautious with the big cracks in the sidewalk we need to go over to get to the bus stop.

Suddenly I am having a dizzy spell and I wasn't sure if I was going to fall over or not. Just before it happened Tennyson had stopped and I wasn't sure why. Once the spell subsided a bit I realized he must have sensed that something was wrong with me. My balance was really bad after the spell was over so Tennyson leaned closer to me to make sure I stayed upright.

I came home right away because I didn't want to risk either of our lives. I didn't want to misjudge reading traffic or something else. Tennyson's pace was slower on the way home but I was grateful for that do to how I was feeling.

Right now I am really tired and just glad to be home. And Tennyson is staying close to me to make sure I am ok. I can't even get up without him following me to ensure I am ok. Thank goodness for this loving dog.

If I had not had my Tennyson with me I don't want to think of what could have happened to me. I once again am grateful that GDB matched me up with this wonderful dog.
