Thank you to everyone who participated! To all of the entrants, readers, and voters, thank you very much!
For the winners: prizes can be either whichever volume of D.gray-man you don't have yet, or some other manga (or item) of similar price range. Please e-mail gauntlet_toss@mindless.com with your mailing address and prize selection.

Entry 6: Title: Monochrome Rating: PG Warnings: I don't think so, no. Descriptions of dead people? Summary: One of the Bookman clan's apprentices, described as "monochromatic" despite his vibrant coloration, is chosen by the Master Bookman, and taken on his first mission.

These are the entries to the ORIGINS fic challenge. Entries will remain anonymous until after voting is concluded, at which time I will announce the winners only. If an author would like to claim their fic they may do so, but it is not mandatory. Please do not vote for the same story more than once. Scale is 1 to 5, 5 being best; final tallies to be averaged by number of votes. We'd like for you to vote on EVERY story submitted to keep things fair and accurate.
I'd attempted to keep voting anonymous, but...apparently I failed rather badly. I apologize. Votes are visible. I also never specifically stated that authors could not vote for their own entries, yet another miscalculation on my part. Authors, feel free to vote on your own entries, have fun with it even. If you want, you can even leave a comment to yourself explaining why you voted that way. HOWEVER, in the interest of fairness, those votes will NOT be counted.
I've also been informed that most people were unaware that they were allowed to leave comments on each individual fic. Yes, you can comment on entries; in fact, please do! I know most of the authors would appreciate it, and some voters may feel the need to clarify why they voted as they did, since voting is visible. (Again, I am so sorry. I really thought it would be anonymous; I had no intention of putting anyone on the spot.)
I've made more than a couple of mistakes this time around, and I hope I haven't stepped on anyone's toes too badly. I'm just going to chalk it up to a learning experience and hope I do better next time.
