...placed a bid on a pair of satin eyelets. Two days later, she requested a bid retraction, allegedly due a family-related monetary emergency. Due to the nature of the situation, I granted the retraction, but apparently the emergency wasn't so much of an emergency. I was going to let this slide, as I have with most of the small handful of others who retracted bids, but she has since made two ISO posts in this community and purchased at least a couple of items. I guess it wasn't so much of an emergency as just being flaky and having second-thoughts on the bid.
So just an FYI for those who do auction posts: you might want to think twice before accepting any bids fromdirty__glamour. And anyone who does auction posts & doesn't want a huge hassle, make sure you spell out that bid retractions will not be accepted under any circumstances and stick to that - even if people call you a rude asshole because of it - because it just causes confusion for the other bidders :)
ETA: I've changed it to neutral in the interest of appeasing the masses.
