Nintendo revealing Metroid 5 at E3

At the last day of E3 and after some not so amazing game reveals and such, Nintendo surprised everyone with Metroid Dread, which was met with mostly positive praise, along with some innate complain about graphics and being in 2D by what I can assume are "legit gamers" or some such. The 2D is a pleasant sight in all due honesty, staying true to the original series and other releases in systems before the Prime series came along.

Nostalgia can be a powerful tool if used properly, and seemingly Nintendo struck gold with keeping this new entry following the story from the last installment way back in the GBA days with Fusion.

Like I said, there are some not very impressed with the new game, but when reading their toxic-filled comments make me realize these are kids deeply obsessed with what games look like rather than how one can enjoy once they begin playing it. Such innate insults don't really make them any favors, and make me want to play this game even more.

Even with hate being shot out haters rears, it does not eclipse the hype Dread has been getting ever since its announcement, with fanart flooding the internet and gamers clamoring the new Metroid coming out pretty soon on the Switch.

Welcome back Samus.

The 4 Red Mage March

Started a new Final Fantasy game with a group consisting only of Red Mages. So far its pretty tough(er) than having a variety of classes like a FIGHTER to help with asshole monsters that refuse to be hit by my less than successful mages handling a sword, but this is a challenge I welcome and hope to finish before long.

Dinosaur Planet (Protoype)/Starfox Adventures gameplay comparison

Have just watched a youtube video upload of Rare's scrapped game and the end result of said game with Starfox Adventures playing side by side. I have never seen the original game in motion before and can state it looked quite good and probably would had gotten my interest a whole lot more than what it ended up becoming.

The then planned Nintendo 64 title has Krystal trying to rescue the child of a dinosaur princess (thus why you see it inside a cage when confronting General Scales,) and playing all the way up till she gets "swapped" by the giant stone man to continue the story with Sabre, its second protagonist of the game who its on his journey to rescue Tricky here. Yeah, she was never meant to be captured and just tossed aside apparently and she even could fight off enemies with her staff while the other character used a sword in its stead.

The prototype game announces Sabre but here it places Fox McCloud who even introduces himself by name, claiming to be a "royal knight" of the Lylat System (???.) However if you see closely you can find that his profile icon doesn't remotely look like him, making it seem like Sabre was indeed going to be in said game after all. I guess by then Nintendo was already asking Rare to convert it into Starfox Adventures, althoug this is my opinion.

All in all it seem like a nice title that could adorn N64's library with other Rare games, but I guess there is nothing to gain in complaining of that cannot be changed.

Sonic the Hedgehog Arcade

Apparently there was an Arcade version of Sonic, but with a different style of gameplay, it used trackballs instead of joysticks for one, and one of the characters to use was Mighty the Armadillo, whose only other appearance was in Knuckles Chaotix for the 32X.

SOCOM 3 for PS2 (demo)

Games like this one are the reason why I avoid war themed games completely.

Its so realistic, you must use every single button on your controller to perform even the basic of actions, along with countless menus that waste a good chunk of your time on deciding WTF to do.

Then theres the inability to fire your weapon unless you cock or something. Damn, anything fun that a war themed game (aka MERCS, MGS) has ever been is completely absent from here.

I wonder how exactly these games fit into entertainment.

Well, back to Final Fight.

Videogame Consoles I have

I started it all with the Atari 2600, even though I no longer have it, then of course the NES, which I traded it for the Sega Genesis, which I still have with games, the SNES with a few games, then upgraded to PS1, which only the games of remain, onto Sega Dreamcast I still own and games, and the PS2, along with my GBA SP.

So which consoles you still own?

And since this includes old school stuff, a video of me playing Pitfall and failing it miserably.

I am not good at this game...
