If I'm posting the first chapter of a story that will contain A/B, A cheating on B with C, and A/B/C, do I tag all those pairings even if character C hasn't even appeared yet?

I don't want to annoy people looking for A/C fic by posting something that doesn't (as of yet) fit that criteria, but I don't want anyone looking for A/B to start reading and then get disappointed when A cheats on B either.

I think you do and then make a note in the summary.

I've heard more complaints about people who go along happy that C wasn't around and get annoyed when C shows up than the opposite. Also, tag for infidelity or cheating or something?

I always tag everything up front, but you could alternately tag just what's there now and put "Eventual A/C" and "Eventual A/B/C" in the freeforms and change the tags when you post it happening.
