I held a little impromptu quiz-show in the classroom yesterday. One of the questions was "on which date do they celebrate Christmas in England?" (in Sweden we celebrate it on the 24th, so it's a valid question).
One team answered, with great confidence, "4th of July!". They were really surprised to learn that 4th of July was the US independence day, and not, in fact, American Christmas. *g*
In other news, it's snowing outside for the first time this fall. I guess that's my cue to put on winter tyres.
