I'm from KS., lived in Tucson for six years which was an awesome experience where I met some of the best friends I've ever had. But after graduating and obtaining my MA, I felt I needed to move back home to be closer to family. Plus, I missed the Midwest. Az. just doesn't cut it for me, although I love going there to visit.
I have a fat, brown tabby cat named Arky, four nieces and two nephews (Jessica, Andrea, Jaden, Rubina, Nicholas and Matty). No kids of my own yet, but I work with kids at the child development center at the local community college - mostly toddlers, they're adorable, and exhausting. :) I'm hoping soon to get hired at the college doing advising or counseling. I have a master's in counseling and am anxious to have a job where I can use my degree.
I've had this journal for a few years and try to keep up with it. I've always believed that writing things down helps us to learn more about ourselves, heal and grow. And I'm more disciplined at keeping one online for some reason. Probably because I'm on the computer so much, and it's easier to read than my handwriting. :)
