I opted out of my annual re-watch of Escaflowne and decided to go for something different. Mostly because I made the foolish mistake of watching Whispers of the Heart and Only Yesterday in one sitting without having Freakazoid or that Egg Baby episode of Batman of the Future on standby. In short, nostalgia + kinda bla YOUTH!! ;_; feeling = No Escaflowne for a few years now. XD
Shamlessly nicked from aramatheydidnt, there’s a rumour going around that there’s gonna be a Japanese version of Coffee Prince! Don’t react yet, it still sounds kind of fishy…
A recent single post on 2ch made some blogs believe that she [Eikura Nana] might take a part in a Japanese adaption of popular Korean drama "Coffee Prince" next to Tamaki Hiroshi, but so far there’s only one anonymous post supporting this rumor.
So yeah, not really anything to get excited about at the moment. XD I do like the idea of Tamaki being in it (as long as he puts on some weight, he looks so gaunt these days!), if I’m assuming correctly that he’s being pipped to play Han Kyul. I like Nana, but she might be too feminine to play Eun Chan, if that makes any sense. She’d still be good though with the right haircut and wardrobe!
Sound off! Who’d you like to see cast in this thing if it actually comes true? (Which it probably won’t, lol) If I’m honest, I think the casting of Eun Sae would be most difficult. She has to have that bitchy side of her but still have a loveable side. For some reason, I couldn’t hate her, and I think that was mostly down to the actress.
Johnny's Entertainment (incl. Arashi, SMAP, TOKIO, Kanjani8, Yamapi) [1-56] One Piece [57- 80] Seto no Hanayome [81-104] Coffee Prince [105-120] Wolverine and the X-Men [121-136] Extras [5]
I also finished the Korean drama, Coffee Prince! And I have to say, Han Kyul is what I imagine Nakatsu will be like when he grows up. Not because of their similar situation, but because of their wild imaginations, their cute boyish charm and their tendancy to freak out in a I LOL IRL manner. XD
I've started watching this anime called Seto no Hanayome. Guys. It's the funniest anime I've seen in a long time. It's a love comedy about the daughter of a mermaid Yakuza clan (yes, you read that right) and a human boy. This is cracktastic sh*t, I'm serious. I haven't laughed this hard at an anime since either School Rumble, Ouran or Excel Saga. I love watching anything remotely funny with yakuza in it, so this was just a pleasant surprise for me! And Takehito Koyasu is in it as a shark...he's so funny, I love him! He thinks he can solve everything by eating everyone. I'll make a post about it later when I'm nearer the end.
For now, enjoy this hilarious clip:
XD I love Maki's voice, she cracks me up! I think she talks like an old man, not sure, but it's funny.
Yes, I know I'm late as usual, but I've started watching Coffee Prince! I love it so far! (I'm on episode 6) But I'll post in more detail when I finish watching it. In short: cute, spunky female lead and hot guys equals happy me.
