Created

guavault, my new personal fandom reference library. For resources I've put together in the midst of creating fanworks that might be relevant to the projects and interests of creators from other fandoms, and also anything else that'd support fanworks creation.

After summarizing my research on Japanese seasons and the local academic calendar, I shared it on

anime_manga,

fictional_fans and

little_details. While cross-posting, I thought of adding a different discussion question tailored to the interest of each comm, but I'd have to save that idea for when I'd like to take my writing slow while engaging in more conversations on Dreamwidth.

paradisediner: Rec: Songs you've played more than once recently

Really appreciate all the songs shared for the crowsourced playlist I'm creating out of everyone's recs! On Saturday, I'll be editing the main post to include the link to the Youtube playlist. Found many great new to me K-pop songs all at once, which turns out to be a better way for discovering new music than just clicking on MVs that surface on my Youtube homepage.

Also started a new topic in the comm's chat post: "Inspired by April's Fool: Which member of your favourite group(s) is most likely to get away with playing pranks on the others? How about least likely?"

Since I'm not a very chatty person, both offline and online, it's most manageable for me to at least put out one personal journal post (aside from Community Thursdays) and one new community post per week. Still I'd like to talk more and hear from lots more people!!

Many of the members have mentioned the same long-running shows: Inuyasha, Gintama and Bleach. And I found a couple of members who also follow Detective Conan!

Seeing the number of comments in my DW Inbox was a bit overwhelming but it is actually a good problem to have. A nice change of pace compared to my AO3 Inbox lol. Hope to encourage more chatter in more comms!

For my first week on Dreamwidth in 2023, I've been on a spree creating top-level community posts. It gets less and less nerve-wracking with each new community post published. Also immensely exciting waking up to an inbox full of comments to reply to and reading discussions among other members under a post I've created. Facilitating conversations has brought an enriching sense of accomplishment.
