Hey hey, I'm Katie and I'm considering applying to Furman early decision this fall. I live in Connecticut and I had pretty much all of my academics-oriented questions answered when I visited campus this past April, and now I just have some general questions.
1) One of the college review books in my guidance office (from 2002) has a quote from a student that says that "nobody dates." I was just wondering if this was true; I know a lot of time is spent on schoolwork, but I just found this comment curious.
2) I'll be frank-- I'm somewhat afraid I might not fit in at Furman, because I've been told it's a "preppy" school and so I'm not sure how many people would share my interests there if this was true. So I was just wondering how diverse the school is in the way of music taste, style, etc.
3) When (approximately)is spring break?
4) my aunt lives in greenville so I'm pretty familiar with the city, but I was just wondering how many concert venues are in the area and how many people frequent them.
I know I have more questions, but I just can't think of them right now. Anyone who knows me will say that I am the WORST at making decisions, so I am trying to find out as much as I can about the schools I am applying to (Furman and Winthrop are my top two choices). If anyone has anything they'd like to share I would appreciate it times three hundred thousand.
Thanks :]
