Word Count: 12,000 + words so far
Warnings: longing, romance, soulmates, sex eventually, love love love! Also slight drug use, fate and shit, angsty muffins.
Spoilers: Oh, how I wish!
Summary: At some point Luke Snyder gave up. On himself and the life he wanted, on the man he thought he loved and when that costs him dearly, he gave up on caring at all. Anger and self-destruction are his friends. For one night, he meets someone who might change his mind and his life but he runs away, back home to Oakdale. It's easier than the disappointment and pain he knows will follow if he believes in anything.
Noah Mayer believes in second chances, at least he hopes they exist because he needs one in his life. His romantic nature (and maybe that part of him that wants to be someone's hero) makes him reach out when he finds someone more lost than he is. Even when it doesn't go like he wishes it had, he doesn't give up. Maybe he won't ever see the man that touched his heart in only a few hours but he won't stop believing it'll happen again.
And if he has anything to say about it, his new life in Oakdale will be the beginning of making that happen.

For me this special story puts Luke and Noah in interesting starting point. They actually know the lowest point of each of them and therefore are only able to recover together...
