I'd realized I haven't really sought out many friends in otherkin communities, not nearly enough at least. I've been dealing with this for a number of months now, and its about time I pay some direct attention to it. So, just a quick hello to anyone interested in discussing life the universe and everything with a newly awakened sidhe, shining one, or whatever you prefer to call the true fae. I only know a little so far of myself, and even less of who else is out there, yet I am eager to explore.
It has been a while since I have posted here though I have enjoyed reading the various thoughtful and interesting posts that have been offered since.
First of all, thank you all for the responses I have received to date. I have spent months compiling and working through the information collected from my last surveys numbering nearly 400 responses. The amount of assistance has been overwhelming and I am incredibly happy to see such a high level of support.
I also apologize for the level of crossposting but I do wish to get as many of the livejournal communities as I may for there are individuals who belong to only one or another but do not have huge mass membership.
Following is the last survey that I will need for my work. The questions are slightly broader in scope and several will require some thought. There is reason behind each and every one. I have spent the last month and a bit fine tuning the survey and adding questions after conferring with a number of very wise people (both otherkin and human).
I have had some strong interest in the book from several publishers and I am currently looking into which will offer the best price to the buyer as well as the widest possible distribution.

Hello. I am both otherkin and writer. I have been aware of my personal differences for many decades and struggled with my own changes during a time when spirituality was centered around the community church. I currently live in the french part of Canada doing piece work and holding contract based positions. My research and interaction with otherkin communities has been leading to the eventual publication of a book focusing on otherkin.
I have joined this and other communities in order to research and collect information for this book as well as for my own natural curiousity. I do tend to lurk and read more than get involved in discussion.

Hi my name is Mike (human name I know), through meditation and astral journeying I have found that I am descended from the Tuatha de Dannan. More specifically Lugh. I bear humanity no ill will, in fact I wish to help them find the enlightenment our kind have. ~Astral Forests~
I am walking, and I am dreaming, or maybe I am dreaming of myself walking. Either way I have been here before, either in wakefulness or sleeping. I journey too where my heart longs too be. The streams silver edge, in it the sapphire blue water, calling too me. I step up upon the rock, and sit there for some time staring into the water. The wind tosses my hair. I know without turning I am no longer alone. I don't know wither I should turn hoping he will come closer or he will go away. Some wild thrill jumps through me. I should jump up and take off running..wild, alone and free. Noone could run as fast as me. Then some thought, would he even chase me? He walks closer and then I find myself turning. He's beautiful. Nothing like I have ever seen, but I have seen this one. Those grey green eyes, the brown hair slightly long, almost shoulder length, pale skin. Familarity. I was crazy too think of running away. He calls too me and he comes too me. At Night he comes. he holds out his hand too me in a silent invitation. That's all it takes. He pulls me close too him, he smells like winter rain. I could drown in the scent. He kisses my hair, my cheek, my lips. Looking in those eyes up close steals the breath from my body. I know I have found my keeper of the ancient. Here strangely I am home. Who wants too wake up? Let me stay in The Dreaming. Let me Dream while awake. Let me forever be the Dreamer. One day I will find you my keeper. Then I will be the keeper of the Ancient.
I am so tired of pissants who sign up too your forums too pick on you and what you believe in, just because you disagreed with something on their boards. Goddamn it but that's annoying.
Rant of the day! I am not human. I am an anti-human loving otherkin. I am dark and I don't give a shit about humanity. they can all fucking burn in hell for all I care. I am not human, I am vampyric, my physical body though nor Immortal by hollywood's standards is not GOD DAMNED HUMAN or mortal anymore! Your astral body is vampyric and it can change your physical body as well. Drinking blood not only strengthens the astral body, but your psychic abilities and your physical body can change depending on what kind you drink, as in human or otherkin or other vampyric blood. This pissant comes and says "just for sake of arguement have you had your dna checked?" OMFG!!! One, yes I am going too drop 700 bucks for this stupid test that doesn't exist. DNA for paternity exists. and that costs money like 400-900 dollars worth. VampyricStudies says vamps can get the dna tested or whatever. I know I am different. I know I am changed physically. Because vampyres bodies are born that way. Latency has it's own dna. When did people become so stupid. I guess this lycan got her dna checked.
