*waves* I thought my old 'about me' page was a bit stale so I decided to make another one :) Let me warn you, I am not very good with bio's. I never really know quite what to say. I could of course spout the usual statistics about me and my work, but that has got to get boring to read after awhile. I know for me, I enjoy reading biographies that are somewhat personal, so that I may understand the person just a tad better. So I'll start with this. My name is Kayti Welsh and I am a self-taught, self-representing, full-time artist. This basically boils down to that I eat, breathe, and sleep art. I am 26 years old and I possess no formal education. I will be attending an Artists Class in May in Southern France that Larry Elmore is teaching and that will truly be my first real 'former' class. I am terribly nervous and excited about this trip. Not only will I get to meet one of the most admired and respected Fantasy Artists of all time, but I will meet 2 artists that I have known online now for many many years. I could not have made this trip possible without the help of the wonderful and angelic art patrons that collect my work, for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ah ok, so that was a bit personal, ya? Lets move onto what and why I create shall we?

I create anything that is in my imagination, which is normally bright, cheerful, vivid lands filled with different types of magical creatures. I am particularly fond of the world of the Fae and the magic and wonder it has bestowed upon the world. I adore flowers and anything having to do with Nature. The mediums I am currently working with are watercolors, archival inks (teeny points for details!) and acrylic paints for highlights. I am extremely detailed when it comes to my work and I strive to bring the viewers into another world, if only for a moment. Art has always been a private sanctuary for me, so I guess my goal is to give that to as many people as I can :) I try to improve with each new piece I do. While I tend to stick to the same style, I enjoy exploring different ways of creating that style. And if you ask me to label my style I could not do that. I enjoy decorative more than realism, but I try to mix a bunch of different 'styles' together so really its simply Kayti-ism ^_~.

While I am always willing to meet new people I generally reserve personal posts for people I really know but feel free to add me to see my art :) I try to post something new every day.

Here is my cuty patooty goat I adopted by the ULTRA FABULOUSLY FANTASTIC TALENTED artist Krisgoat

She creates the CUTEST art ever I encourage each of you to check it out!!!
