This is far from a definite offer, but I want to see if there is interest, and as long as I am not on the other side of the country capturing AFDMT throwing her and the dog in a burlap sack and bringing them back I am open. Of course, throwing afdmt in a sack with the dog might be amusing anyway. Haven't done the whole savage thing in a while.

White wolf base in the new world post the last dark ages game. many options there. Another is to get away from white wolf I indoctrinate you guys into my system and start a game. it can be a medievil fantasy setting or futuristic.
the other of course is to offer up to anyone who wants to run their game at my place.

Can't really offer more incentive than that. It should only take like an hour to move the last stuff out of storage and into the apt. I have a bed, a dresser, a low boy, a mirror and a desk that's all that is left that is getting moved.

The setting is a dark near future setting. technology has progressed, but the world looks like a darker version of the current one. At a glance it wouldn't appear different, but the closer you look the more apparent the differences become. For instance, computers have replaced stereos, tvs, and phones. They do all of the things those can do in one device. 2 good sources for the feel are 1984 and Bladerunner (though the technology isn't as advanced as in Bladerunner, the look and feel is the same). The game takes place in east St. Louis 2025. East St. Louis is currently Sabbat held, but it the frontlines because St. Louis itself is Cam controlled. This is the frontlines in the battle. Society as a whole has become more distant from one another. People tend to use public transit if they are forced to leave their homes. People rarely gather, the club scene is one of the last remaining places of gathering. Hell, even prostitutes can be ordered in home. Only delivery drivers tend to be on the move. Because people have become so seperate from each other they have lost a sense of community and purpose. Therapists have a drug that they prescribe to help remedy this (its a legal version of ecstasy). The drug does help to promote comunnity and while they consume it they do find purpose in what they are doing. The suicide rate is very high. Other people turn to bizarre body modifications, sex clubs, and religion to find meaning and purpose.
Groups (these are ideological camps. The list is by no means exhaustive, so feel free to create your own):
The Urban Primitives: -Freedom from Technology: This group seeks to overthrow the corporate rulership violently. They have cells in every major city. They bomb and fight against Microsoft. -To the Suburbs and Beyond: This group feels that moving away from the city and refusing to use technology is the answer to the modern insanity. They tend to live secluded lives in remote areas. -Hippie Revised: Pass the bong man. Love and community are the keys to life and having a large amount of drugs doesn't hurt.
The Technocrats: -Hacking through to Anarchy: A group of gifted hackers that seeks to overthrow the regime through its own devices. These people are sometimes ex-employees of Microsoft, sometimes just smart youngsters. They try to cause digital chaos. -Microsoft employee: The company is great! It provides a great standard of living and safety to everyone in the world. Crime is down, employment is up. What more needs to be said. This is by far the largest group. -Industrial Rave: The purest of digital sound is all that we listen to. Digital has shown us how lacking all other forms of sound are. Now if I could just climb into that computer and digitize myself. They tend to go out to raves and their culture is centered around sound/feeling produced by synthetic drugs and music.
Others: -Goths: Pretty much the same as today though they have nifty little devices to trick out their appearance. -Nomads: Adventure is on the horizon. You commonly work as a delivery guy to remote places. Its just that you sometimes don't come back from those devliveries because you just kept going. -Punks: Anarchy! Music! Fights! They tend to be less of a unified group and more of a fashion club/ideology. Punk has returned to its state from the 70's. They aren't the carebears that we've seen recently.
For those wondering what happened over the next 25 years. 2008 election: Charles Bryant was elected President. His republican party won a massive majority in both Congress and Senate primarily due to heavy backing from Microsoft. During this term a number of laws were passed to facilate the new political catch phrase "ease of life and technology". Computers become incredibly common. 2009: Companies set up delivery areas. Taxes and extra delivery charges are applied to people living outside of cities. This, along with the new integrated low income homes paid for by Microsoft encourages a movement of people into cities. They can move into a home that is fully set up for the digital age in the city for far less than they are currently paying. Microsoft is praised for raising the standard of living. 2012: Bryant is re-elected. People rarely leave their homes. Under Bryant workplaces are given incentives to move workers into their homes. People begin doing everything from the house, work, shopping, chatting. The internet has become king and has left people with little reason to interact face-to-face or leave the house. 2014: Microsoft now employs a majority of the workforce. Un-employment is almost unheard of. 2015: By this time people are rarely leaving their homes. The digital revolution is complete and many thank Bryant for this. His "proactive" lawmaking facilated the revolution. 2017: After leaving the presidency Bryant takes a job as VP at Microsoft. By the end of the year he is president of the company. His vice president Sam Estrada gets elected to the presidency. 2019: To help elimate the threat of crime, Bryant uses his resources at Microsoft to found a crack team of investigators and private eyes. They are instantly and hugely successful. Crime drops to almost non-existant. 2020: Due to the the huge success of Microsoft's crime team they are now backed by the government. 2023: The true effects of all of this legislation is becoming apparent. People have been manipulated into cities where they are easily controlled. For all intents and purposes Bryant may as well be a ruthless dictator of the US. He is now using that power to bring the rest of the world in line with the US. People can and do disappear and they aren't missed for days because no one sees each other face to face anymore. groups of freedom fighters, or terrorists depending on your point of view, emerge and are squashed almost instantly. Its almost as if there are cameras in every home and on every street corner.
Character Creation: Any clan is allowed. Generation max at 9th. As out of the book except where noted: 25 abilities + 5 lores/crafts/professions. It is important to note that this will be an ability heavy game, ie don't expect supernatural powers to be a saving grace. Technology has advanced somewhat.
Disciplines: Start with in clan at: 1 advanced, 1 first intermediate, 1 2nd basic. No out of clan disciplines may be above 2nd basic at character creation.
I was wondering what the interest would be in a mage game . i have been working on running one for a long time now . and i thought that it might be fun to have on our list of game so comment to me and let me know . if everyone is interested i could be ready as early as next month .
I'm in the process of writing up a few characters for a few of the various campaign's that are being played. I want to ping them off of a few of you. As of right now they are base stats, no XP and with the old Camarilla creation rules. I don't know anyones individual creation policies, so they will have to be tweaked on a character to game basis.
Also I was hoping to sort of conduct a behind the scene's character. Sort of a influence whore, for lack of better terminology. I was thinking of attempting this for the Camarilla game that I recently played an NPC in, I got a very interesting feel for the characters and I believe I understand what they could use.
I understand if you guys have a problem with this, because it will be conducted almost entirely through email. But it's something I'd like to try.
