I have problems with the scrolling response of the trackpad being very sluggish. My fingers can move all the way off of the trackpad before the screen even starts moving.

Strangely, this happens on my M4 MacBook Pro, whether using the built-in trackpad, or the Apple Magic Trackpad in both wired and wireless modes.

But it's fine on my M1 MacBook Pro. No sluggishness there at all.

Strange.
Right, I can reproduce this every time now and it definitely seems confined to safari.
It's very subtle but it's possible with the trackpad to scroll a window a few pixels leftwards when scrolling if you aren't dragging directly down. In safari it'll stop scrolling if the window contents move. Chrome isn't affected bytes, you can see the contents shift slightly leftwards but you can still scroll.

I just updated my Mac mini M4 to macOS Tahoe, and now Continuity Camera no longer works wirelessly. My iPhone doesn’t show up as a camera in System Report or in any apps (FaceTime, Zoom, QuickTime).

If I connect the iPhone via USB-C, it shows up instantly and works perfectly in all apps. But as soon as I unplug it, it disappears again. Continuity and Handoff work fine on the Mac mini (Safari tabs, iPhone Mirroring, etc.).

On my MacBook Air M4 running the exact same OS, Continuity Camera works flawlessly over Wi-Fi with the same iPhone.

Not sure if this is a macOS Tahoe bug or if I’m missing something. Is anyone else seeing this?

UPDATE: The next day, the issue miraculously resolved itself.

Has anyone tried the new release of Bartender 6 with the release version of macOS 26? When I turn on Bartender 6, it updates continuously and I can't access my Tool Bar at the bottom of the screen. When I turn Bartender off, the bottom bar works fine.
Yep, exactly the same. In addition, I've had the cursor disappearing and reappearing elsewhere, and no response to keyboard. Eventually I seem to have been logged out. At one point in a TGeams meeting and unable to interact with my laptop at all, the screens went black and audio stopped - I assumed a crash, but then a few second later, audio restarted, but still black screens. No response to keyboard still - had to hard reset in the end. No problems without Bartender, but it is reminding me why I paid for it. Why did Apple insist on the screen notch?????

Any way to make these icons at the top smaller in finder/folders?? You can do it with those in the sidebar but not at the top... they're gigantic

Just song count and time show. I said in my initial comment that I tried numerous times Show Status. It does nothing. Tried scrolling. Nothing. Tried changing to numerous other playlists. Tried Show/Hide Status while scrolling. Scrolled to the bottom tried Show/Hide Status. Nothing. Also before you ask I did it both through the drop down menu and keystrokes.
I don't understand what's different between your setup and mine. Maybe try trashing prefs for Music.app?

I have an issue, not really a problem. Since the official release, I have a clicking sound that comes when I receive an email. I have turned off all alert sounds that I can think of. I am running Chrome.

I just got rid of them all as I prefer the keyboard shortcuts anyway, and menu commands if necessary.

Since the Tahoe update on my M1 MacBook Air, I keep getting error code S7361-1253 when trying to watch Netflix on Safari. Is there any solution other than just waiting for it to be fixed?

I'm having troubles using Touch ID for ApplePay purchases. Hasn't worked on two different websites in the last week or so; never encountered before. The fingerprint fills in 90%, and the loops back to the start.

OS 26 is absolutely the buggiest Mac OS I've dealt with in decades. The problems I've been experiencing on my MacBook Pro M1 Max this week include:
1. Slow startup every time; watching the progress bar sloooowly inch its way across now on every startup;
2. Spinning beach balls galore on multiple apps sometimes requiring a force quit;
3. Freezing up of Doc magnification;
4. Apps slow to startup in general across the board.
I had none of this before this latest OS update.

these are not common issues. what mac are you on? have you rebooted? and consider calling apple for support. good luck with this 👍

Pretty shoddy of Apple not to have updated Pages, Numbers, Keynote, GarageBand, iMovie, Pixelmator Pro or Photomator for Tahoe yet.

Come on guys... what the hell?
am sure they have a well-thought-out timeline. and it makes sense to focus on the OS first. either way, pages, numbers (and logic pro and final cut) all work fine on tahoe; good stuff (for now).

Different teams work on the apps. This is also the first year they've not been updated within days of the major public release.

A bit of an odd thing to defend but you do you.

Last time it took this long was after Big Sur - was 7 days til we got the new icons in an update that year. Otherwise it's been same day or the day after, going back to Mountain Lion.

not defending anything, just my observations, based on, among other things, the fact that 'This is also the first year they've not been updated within days of the major public release.'

just saying we can work in these apps, until, in fact, we see updates 👍

Yes they have no known issues I've encountered since updating so it's fine. But adopting the new UI and icon system will be welcome, hopefully soon.

We've had Final Cut today so hopefully we get a few more over the next few days. I'd be shocked if we don't get all the iWork updates by the end of next week. Pixelmator Pro/Photomator are harder to gauge.

Thanks for the advice. I'm on a 14-inch 2021 MBP Apple M1 Max 32 GM memory, 2 TB. It's connected to an Apple Studio Display 27-inch (5120 x 2880) also from the same year.

It seems that there is a brief delay with scrolling with this update. I am on an M1 Studio, and when I scroll in windows using the Magic Mouse, it seems to have a brief delay, then scrolling starts. I believe this is somehow bluetooth-related. When I updated initially (from previous betas) the system didn't recognize the fingerprint sensor on the keyboard, I couldn't enable it. Disconnecting the keyboard, turning it off/on corrected that, but I wonder if they are somehow related

Hving trouble clicking on many things in System Settings. Click and nothing happens. It's far worse with my Wacom Stylus than with a mouse. Otherwise, not bad.

Updated a Mac Mini 4 with a Logitech C920 HD USB Camera. Photobooth and other video apps work, but Facetime doesn't see it.

m3 max mbp here. It looks like performance is horrendous when plugged to an external monitor (3440x1440p, 144hz, Displayport).
It's not as bad when using the built-in monitor, but on external it's insanely laggy, framerate drops galore... this didnt happen as much before. There's always been framerate drops etc but not to this extent. I've updated on day 1 of public release.

Add to the list Dock disappears without any reason even with "Automatically hide and show the Dock" disabled. It is happening to me after upgrading to macOS 26 Tahoe yesterday. It has happened at least 4 to 5 times already.

Mac Studio M1 Max 32Gb/2TB and pair of Studio Displays.
I've had this problem since the first public Beta. When the official release came out, it seemed to be fixed, but a day or two later it happened again. It's much less often, but does still happen. I had to call Apple for something else & when we were done, I asked about this. I was transferred to a Mac person but since I can't reproduce it on demand, there's not much they can do. When it happens again, I'm going to bring up the System Settings to show that the Autohide Dock is not enabled, but when I right-click on the dock itself, I have the Turn Hiding Off option & screenshot that. The Apple person said that she does see a query sent to the engineering group about something similar. It was sent yesterday & they likely won't see it until next week. They are supposed to call me late next week to see if it is still happening.

I have the Mac Studio M2 Max 96Gb/8TB & one 40" Dell Ultrasharp display

^^^^Yep, I have a disappearing dock also. It appeared in early betas, I believe, and is still present. I have screen saver enabled in the menu bar, and when it disappears, I click there and move the mouse, and Voilà, the dock returns.

Anecdotally, I'm experiencing a lot of framerate issues, especially with Mission Control. And that's on an M4 Pro MacBook. It seems to stutter whenever you return to a window after opening Mission Control. This is the sort of thing that drives me crazy, does anyone know if Apple typically fixes stuff like this?
