What would be the better question that may lead to the lesson about infinitive?

is it

How do you see yourself 10 years from now

or

What would you like to be when you grow older?

students should answers... to be a doctor, to be a teacher etc.

Their answers should lead in discussing infinitives.
 
    • You know, this is much more of an instruction and pedagogy question than an English language question. But, in this case, I would use the second question, since it models the type of answer you want from students.

    Perhaps an ESL Teaching forum would be a better place for similar questions, in the future.
     
    thanks... but is the second question, What would you like to be when you grow older?, is grammatically correct?
     
    The question is correct and idiomatic, but the response is usually just "a doctor" "a teacher", not a complete sentence.
     
    If you want to elicit an infinitive in the answer, you might ask: "What do you want to do when you are older?"
