A goes pick up B who is in a hurry and not very sociable; A engages in conversation and B wants to cut it out and get moving. Can B say: shouldn't we be heading to <destination>? (he is annoyed and in a hurry) How does that sound? Maybe it's too polite for the character which is quite rude....

i think you'd say 'let's get a move on, shall we?' without specifying to where.
