Signature
Introduction
The Signature component is a digital signature field that enables users to create and capture handwritten signatures digitally. It provides a drawing area where users can sign their names using a mouse, touchpad, or other input devices. This feature is particularly useful for signing documents, forms, contracts, and more.
This component is available as a standalone package, @react-form-builder/components-signature, under a commercial license. For commercial use, please contact our sales team at [email protected].
The signature component offers various customization properties such as options to adjust the thickness or color of the signature, select canvas color, and more. The following introduces and describes available properties and options of this component.
Main properties
The following general properties are available within the Main tab:

Label | string | Text that is displayed for the component |
Clear Button Text | string | Customize the text for clear button if necessary |
Width | number | The width of the signature component in pixels |
Height | number | The height of the signature component in pixels |
Line Width | number | The thickness of the pen stroke when drawing the signature |
Pen color | color | The color of the pen stroke when drawing the signature |
Background color | color | The canvas (drawing area) color of the signature component |
Read Only | boolean | If set to true, makes the component unavailable for users |
At the bottom of the Main properties menu, you can find additional options:
- Render When: Provides conditional rendering for your calendar as described in the corresponding chapter.
- HTML attributes: Allows you to provide custom HTML attributes for your form.
Style properties
These are properties that allow to customize the size, color and other style properties of your component:
- For Device: You can provide component's style customization for all devices or specific devices by using this dropdown list. Refer to Adaptive Layout for more details.
- Component > Class Name: Add a class name for your component for the subsequent styling if necessary.

Wrapper: The options below enable you to tailor the appearance of your component and customize it for a specific device type, as selected in the For Device property:
