Recent JenMo news roundup

Two new news items came out today that I thought folks might be interested in.

House's Jennifer Morrison To Star In ABC Pilot
House alumna Jennifer Morrison has landed the lead in the ABC drama pilot Once Upon a Time.

The project centers on Anna (Morrison), a woman drawn into the small town of Storybrook where the magic and mystery of fairy tales may be real.

Previously, Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love) and Lana Parilla (Swingtown) were cast as Snow White and the Evil Queen, respectively.

Following her co-starring role on House as Dr. Allison Cameron, Morrison has recurred on How I Met Your Mother.

Also:
Jennifer Morrison posted the first poster for Warrior on her Facebook

In the film, two brothers face the fight of a lifetime - and the wreckage of their broken family - within the brutal, high-stakes world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting in Lionsgate's action/drama, Warrior.

You can see the posters, which feature the movie's lead, Tom Hardy, and more details on the movie at ontd. Looks like its finally moving toward release.

NVC/Fox Negotiations status; House cast & PTB contract situation

From this: http://www.tvline.com/2011/01/hous…

“I believe NBC [Universal] wants Fox to take over the cost of production, and Fox doesn’t want to,” Edelstein explained. “Until that’s resolved, they can’t even begin to talk to any of us.”

Bottom line - HL is signed for next season & no one else is.

(If interested, you can see the entire transcript of LE's conference call here http://screenrant.com/house-season… - please feel free to discuss here as well).

Also, from Ausiello (I've lost the link, but will add as soon as I can find it again)

David Shore's contract is also up for renewal with NBC at the end of this season.

I think this explains both why NBC yanked Shore off The Rockford Files (number three of three failed pilots) & put him back at House (budget out of control) and he's doing his darnedest to prove he's a worthy investment so his own contract gets renewed or else NBC may bring in a new show runner for next season. What's more, if Fox won't pick up the tab to finance House next year (reportedly $5 million an episode), NBC may move it from Fox to their own network as rumored, or possibly even can the show if the ratings don't improve & they can't get the costs under control.

Thoughts? I think the probability of there being both a new showrunner & House moving to NBC next season just went up substantially.

Anyone following the MAC/Rodarte fiasco?

MAC has issued a statement on the situation today to change the names of the products & make a financial donation, which goes some way to correcting a mistake that should never have been made in the first place, but I find the Rodarte statement & lack of tangible action a complete cop-out.

STATEMENT FROM M·A·C COSMETICS ON THE M·A·C RODARTE COLLECTION

We understand that product names in the M·A·C Rodarte collection have offended our consumers and fans. This was never our intent and we are very sorry. We continue to listen carefully to the comments we have received and have the following plans to address concerns:

* We are committed to donating $100,000 to a non-profit organization that has a proven, successful track-record helping women in need and that can directly improve the lives of women in Juarez in a meaningful way.
* We are changing the product names in the M·A·C Rodarte collection.

As we have done in the past, please be assured that we will communicate details regarding our progress in this matter.

STATEMENT FROM RODARTE ON THE M·A·C RODARTE COLLECTION

We recognize that the violence against women taking place in Juarez needs to be met with proactive action. We never intended to make light of this serious issue and we are truly sorry.

Helping to improve the conditions for women in Juarez is a priority for us and we are thankful for all the comments calling attention to the urgency of addressing this situation.

The probability of me ever buying Rodarte is kinda slim (I don't do $4000 frocks), but in the short term I'll be boycotting this MAC collection & figuring out how to express my displeasure directly to Rodarte.

House spoilers for folks who inquired

Ep 20 (The Choice)
http://community.livejournal.com/i…

Ep 21 (No Place Like Home)
http://community.livejournal.com/i…

Ep 22 (Help Me)
http://community.livejournal.com/i…

I believe that all of this originally came from the mole at the old Fox forum & is floating as copies around various fan sites after fox tried to delete it. I've posted links just to get this up quickly, let me know if anyone wants me to cut & paste the text here, I can get to it tonight.

Oh, and supposedly Lucas is back season 7, per the mole.

I figured it would be better to post here rather than house_cameron since the actual spoilers are all pretty House-centric and the comment wank, well.......

Its pretty funny stuff if true. Enjoy!
