Also, we experimented with judging for the contest. I was looking through the rules/info for this community, and it wastragicamente's original intent to have casual judging/voting for each round, similar to the Inuyasha Flash Fics. I think it'd be fun to incorporate that, so I have a few questions for you:
Anonymous judging (similar to how the contest was run, with scores and explanations [exp. mailed privately to authors), a permanent panel of judges (three of which would volunteer per round, non-anonymous but otherwise identical to the first), or voting?
It would be slightly different, because as the authors post to the comm, their stories would no longer be anonymous (and there might be favoritism, who knows? Sometimes it's hard to critique friends as readily as strangers). For voting, however, it would require people to actually... vote. And it's no secret that this community isn't mainstream - it might be difficult to get the volume of votes required for a fair session. The other option is to have the participants mail their stories to the community first, which would then be sent to the judges, which would lead to winners, etc. being posted. Then the stories could be posted to this community and elsewhere. Or is that too complicated?
