Reference

Total triglycerides are decreased by 35% in adults expressing LnkScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU compared to wild type. The median lifespan is decreased by 19% in male and 16% in female flies compared to wild-type.

Animals expressing LnkScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU show reduced survival under starvation conditions compared to wild type.

Animals expressing LnkScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Adh.PF have reduced lipid levels, reduced hemolymph sugar levels and reduced starvation resistance compared to wild type. The median lifespan and survival curves of these flies is not altered compared to wild type.

Animals expressing LnkScer\UAS.cSa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH or Scer\GAL4ppl.PP have reduced lipid levels and hemolymph carbohydrates compared to wild type.

Animals expressing LnkScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU have normal total triglyceride and hemolymph glucose levels, but show marginally decreased starvation resistance compared to wild type. The median lifespan is decreased by 10% in male and 11% in female flies compared to wild-type.

Animals expressing LnkScer\UAS.cSa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Act.PU or Scer\GAL4elav.PU show increased sensitivity to paraquat compared to wild type.
